Incredible night, Noel seemed to love the crowd aswell! Unexpected highlight was Digsy's Dinner, everyone was jumping, great atmosphere!

Why are people talking about Beady Eye in a NGHFB gig thread? Fuckin' hell, stop it... it's always the same discussion, the same arguments, the same shit. Enjoy the fucking music and stop arguing! I'm quite sure that liamgallagher1992 can avoid writing sneaky references at Beady Eye where there's no need to bring them up. Yes, this post of yours was uncalled (as a few other ones in other threads, unfortunately) and its only result was to spark again the usual Noel vs Beady Eye blabber. Remember when Beady Eye got slagged to shit because the only videos people were getting excited about were Oasis ones like Champagne Supernova..... Oh the irony

It don't sound like the materplan. Riverman doesn't sound like Wonderwall either yet about 30 reviews have stated that.

I can't believe how much that Wonderwall/Riverman comparison has been brought up in reviews. Am I listening to the right Riverman? Fucking hell.........

Remember when Beady Eye got slagged to shit because the only videos people were getting excited about were Oasis ones like Champagne Supernova..... Oh the irony His point does have some validity. I slammed Beady Eye because it seemed all anyone cared about on this forum were the Oasis songs they performed where as I wanted them to get praised for their own compositions. Now people are posting a shit ton of Noel/Oasis songs. Fair enough. The difference however is that Noel is selling a lot more albums and playing much bigger venues than Beady Eye ever did. Surely the people going to these shows bought both Noel's solo albums and thus care a little more about his solo material.

Was initially skeptical about Stranded and Digsy's Dinner being on the setlist but they sound pretty good.

Had a fucking great night. Pretty pissed off that some kunt forcibly made me sit down in the seating area during the first song and kept having a go at me every time I stood up. Other than that, 10/10 gig! Will post videos tomorrow They put their hands on you? Yep and told me to 'sit the fuck down'... At a gig

The gig was amazing last night. I think the crowd made it special as we knew the words to the new songs. Sadly in Belfast on Tuesday this wasn't the case, mainly due to the album only being out 36 hours before the gig!
Personal highlights for me was Noel's banter between songs. "I felt like Father Christmas at the in store signing, making people happy", the Mexican quotes earlier in this thread and the thank you "on behalf of rkid" due to the "amount of clobber he's sold round this way".
Another highlight for me was Noel getting Mighty I slightly wrong. Listen and watch carefully to the video on YouTube to see him do one run through of the chorus pre-solo and forgetting it does the chorus twice... He nods to Mike to acknowledge his error just as the video cuts out.

Probably cause it sounds too much like Masterplan. Do you think this could actually be the reason why he added The Masterplan to the setlist? I don't know. By putting The Masterplan in, people compare the intro and say "they sound similar"! None of the rest of the song is similar. I would think it's maybe that it didn't sound great in rehearsal (if it was rehearsed) or the guitar solo is difficult to replicate. Or maybe Noel just doesn't fancy it much!

Oh the irony It wasn't done to bring about a Beady Eye vs Noel debate. For the record I prefer Chasing Yesterday to either album from Beady Eye. It just seems to me most of the fan base is now split into the main catergories of - 1. Religiously love Noel, when bigging up Noel absolutely nail Liam I.e noel is now the better frontman, singer, has a better band, doesn't need LG. LG is washed up and untalented 2. Love Liam. Admire the legend that is Noel and know he was the driving for for Oasis, while at the same time knowing Liam was as responsible for their success because of the voice, looks and attitude. I'all equally defend both outside this forum when the topic of Oasis comes up with friends or whoever. But I might come across as pro LG on here because every time i come on there's people saying Noel is now a faultless god who never needed his younger brother and I feel like Liam gets fucking battered.

Stop The Clocks was the greatest song he'd ever written at one point but only got an airing in 2003! The set list is young, there is room for changes. It's changed each night so far, although last night was just a song order change.

An amazing gig. YKWCGB is still playing over in my head. Never thought there would be so much jumping at a Noely G gig. Buzzing for T in the Park now.
