Just back from Glasgow gig, WOW Noel absolutely stormed it. Stunning. I've seen NGHFB twice on the last tour and Oasis many times and apart from Oasis pre 95, that was the best I've ever seen. Really amazing, they're on a different level on this tour. The new songs sounded great, The Mexican really rocks hard! But really, that was one of the best gigs I've ever been too, different level. Glad you enjoyed it

Yeah I thought that was great. Most of the new songs sounded great (ITHOTM and YKWCGB were highlights) as well as the older stuff. Haven't listened to the first album in a while, forgot how good stuff like (Stranded On) The Wrong Beach is!
Noel seemed like he really enjoyed it as well.

ITHOTM & BOTMI stuck out as highlights for me when I saw Noel in Dublin. They are up there with his best. Crowd seemed really into them. A friend of mine cited ITHOTM as a highlight too and he hadn't heard it before.

batfink30 Glad to hear you had a good time. Thanks for posting your thoughts so soon. And it's definitely great to hear so many positive comments about how Noel's smashing it live.

Remember when Beady Eye got slagged to shit because the only videos people were getting excited about were Oasis ones like Champagne Supernova..... Oh the irony I'm sure there's a Beady Eye section somewhere where you can discuss them to your hearts content.

My wife who is a casual Oasis fan (she asked me if Fade Away was on the new album) her face at the end of it was shocked at how good it was. Sound was MASSIVE as well. Can't wait for the Albert Hall now, the sound in there will be immense. Noel mentioned how "our kid" was selling so many Parkas in Glasgow judging by today signing lol.

The more I listen to "In The Heat of The Moment" the more I realize it is a BEAST of a tune. Noel sounds great singing it. Very powerful.

Funny thing, apart from DLBIA and CS and TM, WAL was one that got the crowd bouncing the most.

That's the best--when the casual fan gets converted. Then you know you're not just preaching to the choir but roping in all the new fans too. Lots of comments online are talking about how fantastic Noel is live. The first time I heard In the Heat of the Moment, I liked it, and I could tell it was going to be super when performed live especially the chorus. I'm glad I wasn't proven wrong.

Remember when Beady Eye got slagged to shit because the only videos people were getting excited about were Oasis ones like Champagne Supernova..... Oh the irony I never liked the idea of Beady Eye performing Oasis songs. Especially ones written by Noel Gallagher.........AKA.......the guy who quit on them. I said it years ago, the moment Beady Eye started playing Oasis songs would signify a white flag going up to surrender. That's exactly what happened. It's a little different for Noel since he is a solo artist and not a new band trying to forge a completely new identity. I loved that Beady Eye were sticking to their guns originally and avoiding Oasis tunes. Thought the band needed that policy for a long long time. Once album sales declined and concert venue attendance lagged the big Oasis guns were called in. Didn't like that idea one bit. Seemed desperate to create a buzz. I know some people probably loved it and had a great time at those shows but it would be the beginning of the end for a band called Beady Eye. The retreat started then.

Dyou know, I cant put my finger on it but something has really happened to Noel. The first NGHFB tour gigs were like the beginning of his rebirth and this one was like he's completely reborn into a new fully functioning solo artist. It's like watching a new band and a new person compared to latter Oasis and even the last NGHFB tour. It's really incredible.

It's awesome that Noel is rocking out more on this tour. We needed more of that last time out.

To paraphrase Brian Clough, "I wouldn't say that was the best gig I've been to. But it was in the top one."

He got more comfortable as a singer and as a frontman,he saw crowds were getting his new songs and not just the Oasis ones, even album sales are still good without the Oasis "brand",in fewer words it's like he realised he could really fucking do it,as I said a few days ago,he's not just the guy from Oasis anymore

It's awesome that Noel is rocking out more on this tour. We needed more of that last time out. He was loving the Mexican, dancing away. I've never seen him so animated. The crowd were chanting something (I couldn't hear what it was)during a break and he stood with a finger pointed in the air with the spotlight on him but everything else in the dark, it was like he was a total "God" like star. Insane.

It felt like they'd lost confidence in their own material and resorted to past, Noel-written glories. There was enough material of their own from during Oasis which would have still gone down a storm.
