It doesn't really matter what any artist posts or says on media, at the end of the day the music will speak for itself. If it's good people will show their support, if it sucks no amount of bants will make it any better.

I'm offended by the insinuation that if you don't like the (terrible) single it's because you love Liam and are stupid. Noel believes he deserves a better class of fan, as he essentially admitted when he made his first solo tour all seated. He used to say these things with a heavy dose of irony, but that's gone now. This is exactly my thoughts too. I'm not annoyed by "parka monkey", I'm pissed off at his arrogance and lack of respect towards the fans. I do not, first because i'm not interested in what gets released these days and i am discovering old classics, and second because even if i wanted to, i would have no time, but guess what, if i have no time to listen to new rihanna album i don't go on rihann4eva. com to say that i don't have time for her album. At least that is how it felt for most the people on the thread i guess. Ah, see. I would have liked to have had this discussion in that thread because I do think we have a lot in common in this regard. The points that you gave are exactly the same points that I have - I'm not interested and I don't have time. And I see your point about going to rihann4eva (is that...a real site?) but I suppose here's my response to that. I am already here because I am a fan of Oasis. And I joined because I am excited about Noel's new album. I didn't go out of my way to create a thread about what's wrong with Liam's album. There was already one there so I thought it was an okay space to share my views. I honestly would have NEVER created a thread on the subject myself and I truly thought I was just engaged in a conversation with people who were asking me questions and I was giving my answers to those questions. Once it became clear that people were frustrated with my responses, I stopped entirely. You obviously don't like Liam. But why post on a Liam thread about how bad his album is, if you are not even prepared to listen to it first to form an opinion? That is probably one of the dumbest things I've read on a forum for a while. |

It's a little bit different when Liam has said stuff about Noel's fans in the past because of the hate Liam receives from them. For example, if a picture was posted of Liam on an Oasis fan page or he gets brought up in the comments on the NGHFB Facebook page it would usually go something like this.. "The untalented brother" "Absolute idiot" "Noel is much better than this twat" .. to name a few, now these are meant to be Oasis fans.. It's fucking mental. Noel until now has got a lot more respect from all Oasis fans than Liam, I don't blame Liam for getting frustrated with it.

I don't like the way Noel talks in recent interviews. Where he used to be really funny, he's coming over now as bitter and as he feels he's better or more important. Saying you don't want to listen to your brothers album because he didn't write it himself and "you can't learn from it" is really lame. I don't believe he didn't have a listen on spotify or something like that. His new album is co written as well anyway, I believe Holmes had a more then great influence on his recent songwriting.
Also I find the parka monkeys comment cringy. Even if it's just a joke it's like he's saying: these U2 fans get it, my own fanbase are idiots.
Yes, Liam has said many stupid things in the past. It's just, I'm used to Noel being the reasonable funny one. That guy seems to be lost nowadays.

Or well, I obviously could as I am replying. I'm not a fan of the "fans", I'm a fan of the band. I also don't know if it's true. The other day I was going through comments, just out of boredom, but you can't believe the amount of shit people are spouting on both Noel's Instagram and Liam's Facebook. Oh, and on this forum too. And usually, when I'm not in my bitchy mood telling people they're childish or rude but when I am simply annoyed or bored, I often scroll past comments as I can tell from the first couple of words which direction that post is heading, so yes, perhaps a lot of it is going over my head, but I also don't want to invest a lot of time in that. I'm here in the first place to keep up with news about Liam and Noel and to discuss their music. I'm not interested in calling other fans names, or calling Liam or Noel names. |

I don't think that anyone is against Liam defending himself in his tweet threads. Those are him responding to people who chosen to push his buttons. But Liam has taken shots at the NGHFBs fan base, unprovoked, before. That part is being ignored or pacified at the moment. |

But Parka Monkeys were annoying at Oasis gigs. Avoiding the piss bottles at Finsbury Park is not my best memory.

It's all a matter of perception. Liam's hardcore fans don't tend to go and read through the comments on Noel's Facebook page (or whatever) and viceversa, so of course everybody thinks their idol is under attack, when the reality is that people are a bunch of idiots who love complaining and winding other people up, and the Internet gives them a voice. Not to mention that everybody tends to take it more personally when something they love is under criticism.
