Thanks for these! Love the song - these little throwaways sound great when mixed in with the main album tracklist. Gives the whole thing a nice varied "White Album" vibe. Does anybody know to download from either of these two streaming sites? None of my usual downloaders will work on them.

Up until the 1:40 mark, my thoughts were "What the hell is this?". Then the kazoo kicked in and it made everything a little better. Easily the weakest track from the CY era, but it's not supposed to be anything special in the first place so it's alright

Ok, help me out here... Might have some of it off...
Here's a candle for your birthday cake Here's a ?? for the wish you'll make Here's a map for the road you're on You need a map because the road is long Here's a mirror for the look of love And I know when you're smiling it's me you're dreaming of
Give me wings and I might fly away I gaze the winter on a ?? day I gaze the camera for my old mind's eye After three, lady don't be shy I gaze a mirror for the look of love And I know when you're smiling it's me you're dreaming of
I got my candle on my birthday cake I got my dream for the wish I'll make I got my map for the road I'm on Don't need a map because I won't be long I got my mirror and my look of love And I know you smile cos it's me you're dreaming of
And I know you smile cos it's me you're dreaming of And I know you smile cos it's me you're dreaming of

was surprised not to hear "Rolling Stone" in the first verse.
and I thought he was going for "it's me you're looking for" .. he surpassed himself!
love those b-sides tunes. reminds of Round Are Way, The Fame, Stay Young, Flashbax.. not the songwriting, obviously (before the slagging begins) but how they just recorded songs and put them out there without any worries. fun songs.
it's just a nice tune, really.

Believe me now? Though it seems the 'sax' was actually a kazoo!

Can't wait to hear the count-in at the start. When spud properly predicts something...

Don't forget Bonehead's Bank Holiday, or else your name is Dot, and you don't really talk a lot!

Call me crazy but I like it. Like I said prior, reminds me of some of those odd ball tunes on Rolling Stones albums like Beggers, Let It Bleed and Stick Fingers.

I love the Kazoo solo. Someone posted something the other day (was it Davidjay?) about Noel in 94 using kazoo solos as a joke. Glad he's seen the light

This is not at all what I was expecting!! For such a facetious title and subject matter, it actually seems really somber, and not at all over-the-top or tongue-in-cheek like The Mexican or Leave My Guitar Alone. Which is good!! Did we really need another Bonehead's Bank Holiday? And thank you carlober for sharing this great track!!

I've just been reliably informed that there is a new track yet to come from the Chasing Yesterday sessions. It's a 3-minute C&W/honky-tonk track called Here's a Candle. It's in the key of G and features a banjo and a sax. I've no info about when/if it's due to be released, though I would guess it's going to be a future b-side or bonus track. Before anyone asks, I don't have a copy (I haven't even heard it myself!), though I can assure you my friend's info is very trustworthy. Spot on scottc, good work!
