I prefer the demo. I wish he wouldn't have re-recorded it to be honest  why? now we have two versions instead of one  that is better. we can choose. |

tbh I don't tend to listen to the old unreleased demos and such things, keep away from them as most sound naff anyway with little or no production.

I would have preferred a fresh new track. The song itself is so familiar to us for such a long time and if I'm being honest, I never really liked it that much, even for a B-Side. The verses are good, but the chorus seems kind of cheesy and outdated (like it does not belong in this period of Noel's writing, which obviously is true). It's definitely listenable and not a bad song, but the best part of the rerecording is that it is a bit faster now. Still, not that necessary. Give us new songs, Noel! I was once worried (many many moons ago in May 2000) that a future Noel Gallagher solo career would feature nothing but songs like Just Getting Older, It's A Crime, Carry Us All, Solve My Mystery and Force of Nature. I'm glad that didn't happen.  |

It's much better than the demo, I think people are overreacting again because they haven't had the time to get used to the new version. I would have much rather had a completely new song though, but this will do for now.
I only wish I could hear the guitar fills on the second chorus a bit better. Might be an issue with the sound quality of the video, which doesn't seem perfect as is usually the case with Youtube and similar platforms.

For a b-side, it's fine. He shouldn't of ditched the solo, which was the best part of the song because everything else is so cheesy, it's near cringeworthy. It's a nice revision of the 15 year old song but other than it's improved production, it's give or take for me. I would've preferred an official version of any of the other unreleased songs like God Help Us All, Come On, It's Alright or Hold Back the Night, but I'm sure those are being saved for next album in some capacity.

Meh.... The original was always B-Side quality and this isn't much better or worse. Can't tell. If I never heard it again I wouldn't complain. Looking forward far more to Freaky Teeth.

glad this is out now so it can be done and dusted at last! never thought much of this tune to be honest,demo was alright,nowt special though,think he should of left it at that! he's got far better tracks in his vaults that should have been recorded! roll on "freaky teeth" and "leave my guitar alone" i say
