I don't know what this means but I put CY on at a party last night and the girls liked it but the guys didn't. Thoughts?

Most songs a directed at woman/women and in positive light (put on a pedestal by Noel) and rightly so if he is happy with life. He can hardly speak for the youth anymore at 47 can he.

If singers and songwriters can't get the girls on board, then they are wasting their time. Girls emotions are more finely tuned than guys anyway, so their opinions on music are more valid.

The first time I heard ITHOTM and BOTMI, I didn't like them at all. After multiple listens, I began to like then love them.
So I can understand people not liking Noel's new direction upon initial listens.
As for girls, well, they just wanna dance innit?

Played it to my best mate who really likes and appreciates Noel and Oasis but isnt a mad fanatic, within 1 minute of the Riverman she was hooked, by Dying of the light she was like Wow and by BOTMI he went "what a great fucking album".

I don't get it. What's not to like? They only feel comfortable headbanging to slipknot or something?

Strange, I'm beginning to get tired to The Black Keys, not enough variation in their albums for me. I think CY is way better btw I'm sure you do! You just reminded me of Black Keys, kind of wearing thin on me at the moment, mainly because I don't think their latest one is that good.
