Played it to my best mate who really likes and appreciates Noel and Oasis but isnt a mad fanatic, within 1 minute of the Riverman she was hooked, by Dying of the light she was like Wow and by BOTMI he went "what a great fucking album". According to this it makes girls turn into guys. Tbh, I have been feeling a bit different since Saturday..

I don't know what this means but I put CY on at a party last night and the girls liked it but the guys didn't. Thoughts? Depends... the guys didn't look like this, did they?

Do NOT understand this AT ALL. I work in interior design and my coworkers are for the most part gay...they have been dressing like this for years and years and years because that's their look - but to have this be the norm and have it be what women go after too...just absolutely bizarre.
Give me the parka, dessert boot and shag hair cut anyday.

Yep, I'd take a Liam wannabe over that monstrosity any fucking day. I know he's Liam's son, but it's still possible to be young and cool even in these depressing times.

This seems to have been brewing for a few years now... the "unisex" thing of wearing the same shoes and jeans almost as tight as the ladies, has now permeated every corner of the modern "lad"s wardrobe, it seems. With the "selfie-age" we live in, it's no wonder folk have become so damn narcissistic, but it is still depressing to find yourself living in a time where the "man bun" is a sought after haircut...

Played the album to my girlfriend, brother, and my mom who aren't fans of Noel at all. Girlfriend loves The Dying of the Light, mom likes Riverman, and brother likes Mighty I Noel's got something for everybody on this albumThat's my impression as well. Even the people on this forum don't have a common favourite. Some regard While The Song Remains The Same as the obvious best, others don't think it's a highlight. Some love the Right Stuff, You Know We Can't Go Back,... For me, that's a sign of how great this album really is. My boyfriend, who knew Wonderwall before we met and who is into metal, really digs the album. Yesterday he told me that In The Heat Of the Moment is his favourite on the album. Imo (and I guess most of you agree), it's one of the two "not great" songs, but again, that shows how consistent the album is and that it has the potential to grab non-Oasis fans as well. Regarding this stupid Liam vs. Noel debate, I've got a friend who can't really get into Oasis mainly because of Liam's voice and he loves Chasing Yesterday. I think it's only us, who constantly imagine some songs sung by Liam or who even wish that Liam sang them. I'd say there is absolutely no problem with Noel's vocal delivery on this album. It's rather the opposite, great vocals from Noel!

Well, that's pretty weird. Anyone got a theory? It's not a party album. there are MANY ways to party, man.
