I think they suit well some songs (ITHOTM, Riverman, YKWCGB) and have no need in some other (WTSRTS, LATD). But I don't think they're irritating, not at all.

Come on, it could be MUCH worse, it's not as if he's saying 'unos, dos, tres, catorce'....

No. Some people really will moan about anything Just putting them on almost every fucking song is unnecessary and adds tension where it isn't needed. I don't like the breathing in thing he sometimes does either, mainly because it's contrived.

I'm fine with them. They don't hurt nor make the song better, they're just there. I wonder if it's his intentions to make his songs have more of a live feel?

Yes, I think so and I remember that he also said so in some interview, but I have no idea in which so I cannot confirm it.. I don't mind the count-ins. They're either there or not.

Don't mind them at all. Except for that one which starts after the instruments have been playing. Can't recall on which song that is.

Kasabian could learn a thing or two from Bono in being massive dicks AND supremely talented. Sadly, there's a complete absence of the latter. Now there you've got real knobs of the very worst kind.

Kasabian lost a lot of magic when the original keyboard/guitar player left I think he was the filter that made possible that brilliant debut and while the third is amazing as well. However the rest are just in and out for.me

I wonder if it's his intentions to make his songs have more of a live feel? This is the exact reason they annoy me, they're forced. Leaving in natural, unrehearsed stuff from the studio is fine, but when it's artificial it bugs me for some reason cos I can hear the fakeness straight away. 'Fuckin' wires everywhere man' at the start of the cover of Street Fighting Man is another example of that. Makes me cringe.

You say it's forced fakeness so you must have been there in the studio to see how he was tracking his takes.
