Favorite track on the album. Mysterious, badass, relaxing, it has a lot packed into 5:40. Guitar solo is incredible on it. Truly a work of art. Bravo Mr. Gallagher.

Shine On You Crazy Diamond vibes all over the place! A truly great tune and a fantastic opener.

The chorus sounds like a bridge that can easily disguise itself as a chorus. I think that is Noel's genius right there.

Fuckin' great, now I understand why he put Do The Damage out of the album to make Riverman the opener.

Riverman is my favourite as well. Great Santana like guitar solo and a good bit of sax at the end. A cracking way to open the album.

The drum pattern in the chorus reminds me of Knocks Me Off My Feet by Stevie Wonder.

Really really like it! Gives it a fantastic first impression of the album. How could you not give the next nine songs a chance after hearing this.

EXCELLENT!! You should do the full album I was planning on doing that haha But then I heard the right stuff and i'm not so sure anymore Definitely will be doing lock all the doors (going to be fun to get it a bit more acoustic-y) and TDOTL soon. And I'm sure I will chance my arm and some of the others. I can't see myself doing the mexican though. Don't love it

Reminds me a bit of Gas Panic mixed with Roll It Over. Sounds like it would have a place on SOTSOG - it's mysterious. I haven't listened to any other tracks yet, still working on downloading.

great track, great opener for the album puttin a melancholic and tripy mood/vibe for the album until...well the awful nananananas of track 2 (ITHOTM should be on the second side and without the nanananas...). track 2 should be "the girl..." and then "DOTL" ...that could be amazing...
(already i m makin my personal tracklist)

This has got to be one of his best songs ever right? I truly believe that right now.
It's everything that's amazing about Alone on a Rope with a CLASSIC chorus and Noel harmonies to boot.
I want material like this to be Noel's legacy. I met Sardy a couple of yrs ago and told him that as a fan I dont want NG to be remembered for being a rip off merchant obsessed with The Beatles. Turns out that it was NG ditching Sardy that has reached that potential. I can die happy hearing this song. Majestic
