Everyone knows Oasis will be back in 2016. Its a fact. No one will say though. This guy seemed so sure...

If Noel can get over the 7/10 threshold with the next album (7 is the maximum score for post-90s work in my opinion), then he will have done brilliantly.
His solo albums are middling around the 6 or 7 mark, will be interesting to see whether the new one is better.

Those first pages of this thread a nice. A lot of love for Girl with the X-Ray Eyes. Funny how things can change. I still don't understand the hate it gets. Not NG's most inspired lyric perhaps but far from his worst. Plus a great melody a guitar solo.

In my book, it probably is the worst NGHFB song released so far (excluding a couple of b-sides).

The extra tracks on the deluxe version are to die for, freaky teeth might be my favourite of his solo tunes, do the damage and revolution song are top class as well.

Seeing this thread makes me realize it's been quite some times since I have last listened to any of the tracks on CY. Bar a couple of tracks, that's actually a really average album...

While the Song Remains the Same is like Noel dipping his toes into some Tame Impala but not going in too deep. I've wanted that from him and hope we get more like that.

I still really like the album. His two solo records funnily enough I still have the same opinion now as when I first listened to them which is rare for me, HFB I wanted to turn off halfway through the first listen it was so boring and now I can't listen to it, while I really enjoy the CY tracks whenever they come on my shuffle or if I listen to the album.

Played BOTMI recently on good speakers and it was incredible. Definitely his best solo song for me.

I still really like Chasing Yesterday - Riverman, The Dying of the Light, The Right Stuff, While the Song Remains the Same, and Ballad of the Mighty I could all be considered the best on there. All great tracks. I really like In the Heat of the Moment and You Know We Can't Go Back is a good tune too. Lock All the Doors and The Mexican are meh, and TGWXRE is stodgy. Overall a strong record. Ballad of the Mighty I is a great track imo. Menacing, cinematic, hypnotic. Perfectly produced. Great lyrics. Well sang. Choon.
