Feeling a little bored with it already, but there is nevertheless, some really great stuff on it... I fully expect to still be listening to the likes of The Dying Of The Light and While The Song Remains The Same in ten years time. In my opinion... Riverman 9/10 In The Heat Of The Moment 8/10 The Girl With X-Ray Eyes 6/10 Lock All Doors 5/10 The Dying Of The Light 9/10 The Right Stuff 8/10 While The Song Remains The Same 9/10 (great little run of songs there...) The Mexican 6/10 You Know We Can't Go Back 5/10 The Ballad Of The Mighty I 8/10 As I say, some smashing tunes, but for a ten track album penned by someone as good as Noel is, just like with HFB, there is an awful lot of filler for my liking. At least four tunes, only a few weeks after it came out, that I've already branded 'mediocre' and plan to seldom listen to from now on. Therefore, the fact that it IS my favourite Gallagher album since Be Here Now, does make me a little bit sad, I've got to say. Overall, I'd give it a 7/10. Funny that the 2 songs you like the most, I like the least, and the 2 you are not keen on (LATD and YKWCGB) are my 2 favourites on the album.... And they sound most like the songs from the Be Here Now period, which you obviously liked....

This is an absoultely stunning album, I've only been a fan since DBTT but this is by far the best album thats come from either Gallagher in the last 10 years. Riverman 8/10 In the Heat of the Moment 8/10 The Girl with X-Ray Eyes 8/10 Lock All the Doors 8.5/10 The Dying of the Light 9/10 The Right Stuff 8/10 While the Song Remains the Same 8.5/10 The Mexican 7.5/10 You Know We Can't Go Back 8/10 Ballad of the Mighty I 9/10 Leave My Guitar Alone 7.5/10 Do The Damage 8/10 Revolution Song 8/10 Freaky Teeth 8.5/10 ITHOTM Remix 6.5/10 ( Should have just used Alone On The Rope) Overall a VERY solid 8/10 from me, I just hope Noel keeps this up and hopefully treats us to another album in a year or two, not three or four. PS more b-sides please. eh? Noel could have finally given us all a physical release of Alone On The Rope. Remixes have no place on Oasis / Noel Gallagher albums. The remix feels completely out of place and merely serves to dilute the brilliance that precedes it.

I still think the way YKWCGB flows over into Mighty I is brilliant.

Well its a very different album than the first one. I like it more I think, mainly cause Noel did it himself and not Dave Sardy (who I don't think is the most ideal producer for his music)
But for me its not that experimental at all, its just good different sounds added to the songs. There is nothing experimental about the music at all. I'd like to see the next Oasis album push the boundaries a bit more of what they have done.

I'd like to see them go in the direction of Be Here Now and Standing on the Shoulder of Giants, just with better songs.

Oasis have broken up more times than I've had hot dinners. You clearly take things way to seriously.

Funny! This is not a comparison cause I like Both, but Beady Eye and NGHFB are really similar in The way, that The first Album both made was really safe and yeah...boring. For The second output Both said things like "space Jazz" or "Rock'n'Roll fired into space" and we got, in the opinion of The most here it seems, better records in songwriting and producing Kind, but still fuckin safe Wirth just a few sounds or exotic inatruments er synths.

HAHA, I thought Liam meant it was going to sound like Pink Floyd or something.
But its no surprise. I have a confession to make though, I haven't got Beady Eyes second record yet. I just haven't got around to buying it, but I will. I got Noels first one as soon as it got released.
With my prediction of Oasis's next album sometime in 2016, I will probably get it with Noels new album of course soon.
But I got hold of the singles from Be Here Now, but that is a waste of time probably if its being remastered and I'll probably like the remaster better with the extra cd anyway and b sides. The covers look interesting I suppose.
I think also a unreleased demos and unreleased album might come out soon as well.

Everyone knows Oasis will be back in 2016. Its a fact. No one will say though. I'm looking forward to 2016 as Oasis are reuniting and my follicly challenged cranium will perform a 14 year u-turn. I'm planning on having a 'Jackson 5' for Knebworth 2017.
