You Know We Can't Go Back and Lock All the Doors are the 2 stand out tracks for me so far.
Both are awesome, and recapture the uplifting B side 96-97 era of Step Out, The Fame and Stay Young....
If only Noel wrote more of these songs now.

The Dying Of The Light Riverman
Both are great, quality songs. Can't get enough of listening to these songs.

Well, I'm about to commit blasphemy and stick Riverman somewhere in the second half in terms of rankings. I do like it, a lot, but not nearly as much as the others ahead of it. I can't put numbers on each song but I can rank them pretty accurately to my opinion:
Ballad of the Mighty I Lock all the Doors The Right Stuff While the Song Remains the Same
You Know We Can't Go Back Dying of the Light Riverman Leave My Guitar Alone
Girl with X Ray Eyes The Mexican In the Heat of the Moment

I have no idea where else to put this, so here goes...
You may foolishly think The Right Stuff is the most experimental thing that Noel's done. Seems plausible, right?
Wrong.
If you don't hear the first second of the song and expect Force Of Nature to kick in like I do, there's something wrong. They have the same opening second and I think of Force Of Nature every time. Even at his most experimental he nods to the least experimental thing he's done, classic Noel.
(I'm tired and confused, finding strange things in songs and then talking nonsense about it. That 5 month wait really got to my head.)

That was so tough to choose. Made me realize even more what a brilliant album this is.

Lock All The Doors and While The Song Remains The Same. Lock All The Doors is just awesome, it truly is good enough for a spot on DM or WTSMG. I voted for You Know We Can't Go Back as my second song yesterday, but that song strikes me as a little bit monotonous after several listens, even though it's really great with its energy and all. WTSRTS just has more stuff going on, lines like "We can dance beneath the fireflies on an empty road" and amazing instrumentation. I love it.

Sometimes jokes don't translate well over the internet That's the worst thing about cutting sarcasm, I'm always unsure whether people are actually seeing through it or not
