First attempt at a vague ranking after a few listens. It's harder than I thought and my opinion will probably change as soon as I've finished writing this.

9. YKYCGB (verses are great but the chorus is just ok for me)

That being said, there is very little to choose between 3 and 8. This is a consistently great album, something that could not be said about the later Oasis or Beady Eye albums.

I now feel like ballad of the mighty I is the best track on the album. Bravo to him for creating something very different. I'll need a few good listens to decide if I like it (which I do) or really like it? Anyone else think that the dying of the light is not as good as the demo? No I don't. I hated the soundcheck version and wasn't looking forward to the albumversion at all, but I actually think it's amazing. And it gives me goosebumps. Fair play. I will need another listen to it when we get the proper recording, looking forward to it |

Again, I really don't like ranking music like this but if I had to:

9. The Right Stuff
10. The Mexican
I love all of the songs so I don't like having to order them like that, they're all great and make for a fantastic album. Some of the titles are a bit long though and I'm feeling lazy, hence the shortenings.

While The Song Remains The Same
The Ballad of the Mighty I is imo almost as good as the ones above.
The Girl With X-Ray Eyes and You know we can't go back are better than The Mexican and In The Heat Of The Moment, but not as good as The Ballad Of The Mighty I.
At the moment, I can't see it changing anytime soon, but it probably will.

I find now that when you play it all through on repeat you don't notice the Mexican, obviously cause it's surrounded by greatness.

So all in all there's not really a bad song on the album, The mexian's an enjoyable song, it just pales in comparison to the rest of the album. Best album as a whole written by Noel since Definitely Maybe, even though the songs individually are a tad weaker than Morning Glory it flows better as an album.
