I already got the mp3 version of the deluxe album on my Amazon player via Amazon.de. Nowadays you usually get the mp3s automatically when you buy the physical CD, but sometimes it takes a few days. This was quick this time! Also, they are claiming to be preparing shipment of the CD.

matt, His Royal Noelness, @isness and all the others, only a couple of days to go. I still feel like a little girl who's waiting for the Chrismas present just before getting a new record and I love that excitement. Music gives me power to carry on and as my mum loved music too, I'm listening to this album with her in my heart.

Depending on where and when you pre ordered, some of us British citizens will receive on Saturday, now in saying that it's never usually high profile releases, ie Noel, U2 etc etc.......now I might be wrong and you will get in the morn.

Before I left Japan, I took these photos. They show what I meant by the "recommended tracks" by Tower Records. As you can see, Tower Records recommends 6/10 of the tracks (the yellow box with the numbers):  This is a very good number, so it seems that Tower Records likes the album. As a comparison, this is what Sam "4 time Grammy winner" Smith's display looked liked:  From what I saw 3 or 4 recommended tracks from a new album was the norm. So Noel having 6 from just 10 songs is a big of a success I think. The great thing about getting a Japanese perspective is that the Japanese do not let bias affect their opinion. It's purely based on the music. In the UK, Noel might get a lower score because he shook hands with Tony Blair before, for example. Over there, they don't know about all that stuff so their opinions are purely based on the music. Another interesting thing is that the tracks they like are basically the same as what we think here. The only surprise for me was that they didn't like TDOTL. |
