Anyway, I've not listened to it yet. I'm off to a friends house who has some B&W speakers. Gonna listen with 3 or 4 other people who are not Oasis fans. Gonna be interesting to see what they think. We've got Kirin beer on ice and some sushi to feast on as we listen. I live for such nights.  I've gotta tell you, it was painful having to sit through the leak but I'm very glad I did. I haven't been this excited going to the record shop since Be Here Now. The process of waking up, counting down the hours till I could go the shops and then actually seeing and buying the album...brought me back to a time when music was genuinely exciting. I highly recommend you try it. I'm gonna chase this feeling...no more downloading leaks for me (for Oasis related albums anyway). A couple of points: - When I got to Tower Records, the album was on display in it's own section. My copy was the LAST COPY. Looks to be doing well in Japan so far. - On the display, they have a list of recommended tracks (stand out tracks I think). I think 7 of the songs were on that list! That's a very high number. I saw some other new albums that only had 3 or 4 tracks recommended. Tower Records, at least, seem to like the album. - The album cover does not look as bad when in print. It can give you strength and confidence when you need it. Hope it helps you out during this tough period. I loved the album too...really fantastic collection of songs. The four people who listened with me also liked it, although they couldn't believe it was a Noel album (they only knew his Oasis stuff)! Noel knocking it out the park yet again. |

Couldn't hold out listening to the leak. Still excited to get my physical copy and properly sit-down with it, it's a different experience. For me, No Gallagher-related album has properly sunk in until I've sat down and listened to it with my Dad. He bought me all the Oasis albums as a teenager, and when they came out I went out and bought DGSS and NGHFB and we listened to those together. I moved away last year, so listening to the leak of this one was a bit different, but the experience won't be complete for me until I get my physical copy and take it home. Perhaps that's why I haven't quite made my mind up about this one yet...
