I've downloaded it, against my original intention, but haven't listened. It's just digital files looking at me in an indifferent way from my laptop, which is strange enough given the whole built up since October. Just the anticipation of actually being able to listen to it right now If I wanted to is something to behold. Can anyone tell me if this is actually a high quality CD-rip or something that was recorded from a stream? If that's the case it'll make it easier for me to resist. That sounds horrendous. Delete the files and pretend you never got them. You're essentially putting a cigarette in your mouth but not lighting it. |

What has happened to good old patience, anticipation and appreciation? I'll surely listen to it before I get the physical copy and I'm of course not critizising anybody who has downloaded and listened, but I like delaying it. The leak does not even has the sound quality the album is supposed to be listened to.

Don't hold off listening if you're concerned about quality. 90% people cannot tell the difference between 128 and 320. It's as good as a Spotify steam and contains 1000x more bass than any Oasis recording even in 128 ;-)

I'm finding it easy to hold out - the fact that it's not a top quality leak helps, but actually reading this forum seeing everyone's opinion is enjoyable for me. Weird as it sounds, love seeing how the fans react to it and it helps stave off any cravings. Really stoked and delighted that people love it though - even if on the unlikely chance I didn't love it, it's always great to see so many enjoying it. For the plans Mr. Gallagher has for you...  |

Just found out it has leaked, haven't started looking yet (which wouldn't be the problem) - so "not top quality" means 128kbps? I could live with that...still not sure whether I wanna listen or wait.

I haven't listened to the album. But, I did try to d/l the leak to no luck. Oh well... I'd rather hear the album for the first time with great sound quality. And, I plan on buying some new earphones soon, so I'll probably do that the day I buy the album. You know, buy the album, drink some cough syrup and pass out on some train tracks - a typical weekday night for eva. God bless. |

Urgh. This is going to be a loooooooong two weeks. I downloaded it and listened to Lock All the Doors and Dying of the Light but the rest of the MP3s are sat there doing nothing because I don't want to ruin the rest until I stick the CD in the car first thing on Monday March 2nd. Lock All the Doors is absolutely brilliant though and after hearing someone compare The Mexican to BRMC v QOTSA, I'm really excited for that!
Sound on the leak's not bad as far as I can tell but it's a bit hissy and I'd rather hear it all in one without any cuts etc.

It's not that I'm a good Samaritan or anything but where do you even listen to this stuff? Where does a leak go to? By the time I've worked all that out and got an hour to myself to listen to it, the album will be out!

If you haven't listened, don't. Don't give in. Just wait and appreciate all the excited and positive comments from those of us who have. I regret listening to it to be honest. I held off for like 1-2 hours and gave in. The quality is alright, but it does sound grainy, especially on Lock All The Doors, although this could just be the song itself.
Now I've deleted the file (took 3 days) and letting the memories of the songs, which still sound somewhat fresh to me, stew until the Japanese release. I would hold out for delivery, but that will likely be sometime around Mid March when my album finally arrives from the UK. It's always ridiculously late.
Hold strong and wait till release day, you won't regret it.

I'm curious about the leak.. Who did it? What time was that? Brazil leaked it unintended last night around 10:30 PM Eastern Standard Time for Americans. A forum members discovered people sharing the leak via Twitter. Well i was listening to it for at least 3 hours before this Twitter hysteria came along. I'm still wondering how many people got that tricky moment back there. |

I listened to DYOS, DGSS leaks, one was ok, the less said about the other the better. I didn't listened to the NGHFB leak because I was in a vacations in the lovely Isla de Margarita(no I wasn't with my number one in the sun). And I wasnt planning to listen to any leaks of CY but it sorta happened and before I knew I had the album and riverman started with the acoustic guitar and the lyrics that recall The Beatles' Something.

I almost gave in and started downloading the album but I cancelled it after a few minutes. Went for a long run after that near catastrophe. I've got everything organised for the day of release. Even arranged a small listening party with some other interested people. I want that to be the first time I hear the album. So if I can just hold out for another 6 days. |

I downloaded the leak, but only listened to the first minute of Riverman before thinking "Fuck it, the quality is shit!", stopped the song, and decided I could wait until the 25th.

It has NOT been easy to wait but as we are getting closer and closer to the release date im getting more and more excited about it that's been holding me through.
I try to remember when I used to have to go to the record store to actually buy the album and the single because there weren't any downloads or anything. Being more old school about it is also helping me!
Just happy im seeing mainly positive reviews on here!!! I love the fact that even though Oasis have broken up a long while ago, we are continually blessed and lucky as fans to have Noel Gallagher still producing and creating music for us!!!
