So it was great in 2011 when Noel dropped Freaky Teeth for the first time and included it in basically every gig afterwards. It was great that we got another new song, even if it wasn't officially recorded yet and released.
Could Come On Outside take its place as a new live song? How would you feel about it?

It's definitely a fun song to hear, but it sounds like it was tailored for Liam's voice, making me think he wrote it at least before or around the time of DOYS. He sounds great singing it but I think he's probably going to just include more songs from the album.

I seriously doubt it for a couple of reasons.
1) Originally Noel believed his AA album was months away from release and wanted to play a song from that album on his debut solo tour. That song being Freaky Teeth. That was probably the lead single and one of the more commercial tunes from a potentially bizarre album.
2) Noel has said recently the moment has passed for songs like Oh Lord, She Must Be One of Us, Let It Come Down Over Me and Come On Outside.
It's a shame these songs will live in limbo for the near future. I rather like the last two a lot. Beeen dying for Come On Outside since 2008.

Guess which song I'm listening to right now? Yes, indeed..Little James!
No just kidding. Come On Outside. I'm not sad about the other songs, but this one is awesome.

Much prefer JLICDOM tbh, hope he'll play it live. I like, but can live without Come on Outside - which is my feelings towards pretty much everything from DOYS

Just listened to Come On Outside for the first time I ages as his thread reminded me.
My impressions? Brilliant song, what on god's earth did they think they were doing not bothering to record this for Dig Out Your Soul? Dunno if they were trolling us dedicated fans by including an EP's worth of shit on it instead.
I mean, talk about kicking the fans when they're down. I think it's really disrespectful to us loyal fans who expect real quality from is band.

It'll be on the next Oasis album.
You heard it here first.

I believe Noel wanted to include a little teaser for his AA album, that's why FT found its way into the setlist... Now that he is supposed to promote the new album, throw a few b-sides maybe, some of the first album's singles and, of course, a few Oasis tunes I really doubt he would find some place for a new tune in the setlist...
Oh and Come On Outside rocks

I love Come on Outside. It sounds like The Turning's little brother, which is one of my favorite songs from the DOYS era. Just Let It Come Down Over Me is a nice little tune too... something in the mood of I'd Pick You Everytime, but better! Noel has said during the Mastertapes interview that their time has come and gone, so I don't think we'll hear them anytime soon. Maybe in 15 or 23 years, who knows...

The "Freaky Teeth" tactic won't happen in this album cycle, because Noel has enough up - tempo tracks to fill his set. Please tell me you're all aware that Freaky Teeth was only added to the set because he needed more up tempo songs??

Agreed - the other demos are b-side material or worse (Oh Lord, She Must Be One Of Us) but Come On Outside could be a lead single. Or at least a standout album track. Come to think of it, I probably like it more than In The Heat of the Moment.

Well OBVIOUSLY I don't really think they were trolling us, but some of those songs really do sound just laughable. I mean come on, 'the nature of reality/ is pure subjective fantasy'. Don't think philosophy students have too much to worry about when it comes to studying the writings of Andy Bell.

I think I've listened to 'Come On Outside' twice. For all the hype it ended up being bang average for me.

2) Noel has said recently the moment has passed for songs like Oh Lord, She Must Be One of Us, Let It Come Down Over Me and Come On Outside. Sorry, I been out of the loop with latest series of Noel interviews but which interview did the Chief say this? If we are talking about shelf life here, it doesn't explain Revolution Song and Lock All The Doors.

I think I've listened to 'Come On Outside' twice. For all the hype it ended up being bang average for me. What about a version with Liam singing? I think Lyla is one if Noel's least inspired tunes, and you can hear that in the demo, but Liam totally nails that vocal and he saved that song personally. I think Come On Outside is really good with Noel's vocals but I think it would soar to new heights if Liam sang it. Imagining it I think it could have been one if the strongest Liam sung/Noel written tunes in a while.

Come On Outside is nice but somewhat generic to me, in the sense that its a standard Noel 10-mins-to-write song. Not bad but not terribly impressive given other contributions.
Just Let It Come Down Over me is the one I really like. I think it would make a great opener for a small 3-piece gig like the STC/LDSMD mini-tour.

Love this song.
Don't care who sings it, I just want it released in some form.
