I gave Riverman a listen last night, sounded very interesting but I wont listen again in that quality. Considering we will have TDOTL within 13 days, and Revolution Song within 20, and the whole album with 22!
Time really has flown since ITHOTM came out in October

Riverman is definitely not as good as EOTR as an album opener.

Riverman is definitely not as good as EOTR as an album opener. I'd wait to hear the production and instrumentation and also how it fits with the rest of the album before judging, bit I kinda get the same feeling from the live version. A poor mans Just Getting Older. |

I have not and will not listen to anything until the album leaks,but no amount of production or amazing instrumentation, is gonna make a mediocre song into a great one.At least i hope it is nbetter than the forgetable turd called The ballad of the mighty i.
Also Just getting older ris a good song,so if it is as good as that,it will be fine.

To be fair, it's the best one to end on played electric. It was acoustic for the first three NGHFB gigs, then it was electric from London onwards. I'm pretty sure it was first of the encore at the Hammersmith Apollo but became last at the Forum on the Sunday night but setlist.fm says otherwise. Just checked YouTube, Anger wasn't last at the Forum! I was at the Forum, certain he ended with LBL. I'm holding strong and not listening to the boot of Riverman... Yeah, I was at three of them and remembered there was a change but couldn't remember at which venue it all changed! |

Sounds promising but again, that boring same-style keyboard piece Noel seems to be obsessed with.

It could well be the drums when I come to think about it, it has been a while since my last listen tbh. I really like what I just about Heard on RM. I think I am going to like that more as it stands. |
