Makes a thread about about "Liam Fanboy's" and how they don't rate Chasing Yesterday and anything Noely G has done yet proceeds to post "reviews" on both Beady Eye albums. I mean he obviously doesn't like them, which is fair enough, but he keeps posting in the Beady Eye section of the forum.... It's like playground behaviour, pulling the pigtails of the girl you like to get a reaction. Just a shite wind up merchant, best to be ignored. |

I don't think Beady Eye were a poor band but you seem to think your opinion should override everyone else's as evidenced by someone not agreeing with you over Chasing Yesterday.... You lower the tone with the fanboy pish. You'll note that not once have you been called a "Noel Fanboy" for your views on Beady Eye yet that was your first reaction in the Chasing Yesterday threads. Soz all didn't mean any offence, maybe I did post more than once on here with same thoughts, although tbf most people do that, everyone is entitled to own opinion, its just good to get objective opinions, and I think some don't do that which is why I sent out the liam fanboy stuff, sure some just don't like the noel album fair enough, not everyone will, I wasn't digging at those people, more the morons who carry on and on and on about liam and oasis, saying same thing. tiresome & time they moved on.

The only people who dismiss Beady Eye as absolute shit are the ones who wanted them to be, hated Liam or sided with Noel as soon as the split.
It goes without saying that Four Letter Word, The Roller and Flick Of The Finger under the Oasis name would be ranked amongst their strongest work post 2000.
I'm not going to pretend they were great. But they had a great frontman, some great songs and many of us get excited to hear anything Liam puts his name to. Your on an Oasis forum so believe it or not they'll be fans of Liam. Just because you live in a world where Noel can do no wrong doesnt mean we do.

i was thinking about this song last night. i once liked it, but now i don't. perhaps it has something to do with the recent release of noel's new album. whenever i hear this song now liam sounds like a bitter, angry old man, and the lyrics are laughable. people know how much i dig beady eye, but this song, someone should have stepped in and binned it before it ever made it on to the record.

Releasing it on the album ahead of much better songs was probably a mistake, but then again, I don't think LAG would have placed this piece of music on the record if they weren't still angry with Noel. It's not like Liam alone placed this song on the record.

I really dig Beady Eye but with this (and a few others on BE) I find it is more satisfying to listen to the instrumental of the song rather than the album version

I think people take this song too seriously. It's a nice track that's good to have in the background, I wouldn't tty and analyse the lyrics too much though haha.
Without sitek though it probably would be a bag of shit.
