They clearly don't fucking care about physical single releases... because releasing it only on vinyl a month later does make very little sense to me. They should have dropped the whole thing yesterday: digital download, vinyl and maybe a CD version of the single too. I know nobody buys CD singles anymore, but I would... Yeah.....I have no idea why Noel's management team does this. Everything should be made available pronto so it can chart as high as possible to crest buzz. Officially going on sale a month from now will result in a pathetic entry I believe.

Are there other artists who release their material this way and actually have success?

Guys, 99% of singles in UK were bought digitally in 2014. They don't care about physical release because it's not so important. You can pre-order it if you want though It's probably because of the song, but they're doing a great job since BOTMI stays in the Top 20, and it's #4 now, he's destroying THe Prodigy in the UK, at least today

It's only that high I'm most places because people preordered the album. It's at 68 in the U.S. now. It's going to plummit soon I would imagine.

This is Chasing Yesterday on iTunes right now: Chasing Yesterday #23 Ireland #37 United Kingdom #67 Indonesia #118 Switzerland #186 Russia I think he could have a top 15/20 single if he'll play somewhere, also he's on the cover of the NME this week

So it's actually eligible to chart this week then?
Cool! Must admit I thought it was released only as a free download with album preorders, so wouldn't chart until next month.

It's not a great sign when some of his biggest fans aren't sure if he's actually released a (chart eligible) single or not!

These are just spikes. It won't maintain unless there's an actual push, even in the UK he'll regress to the mean. #4 on ITunes in the UK mean nothing if you're out of the Top 10 the next day.

Hey kids, look at it this way:
What do you think Noel and his management focus on: £1 singles or £35 concert tickets?
If Noel releases all formats + video + first airplay on the same day, he may shift a few more copies and may get a good spot in charts. But if he spreads these events out over a month, he can keep himself in the media for a longer period of time, making more people aware of his existence.
There's a reason why Spenali, Carlober, GDForever are on a forum analyising/bitching over his management and not actually a part of his management.

It's going to get him to two #1 albums, sold out arenas, and another top 20. Secondly, I've rarely if ever have advocated for a full out release of everything. I've always said that five months is a long time and it's marathon not a sprint. You could actually go in my post history and see that. Funnily enough, the three people you've tagged haven't advocated for any of that. The main person who has actually been bitching over management and Noel not releasing everything now has been Lennon who I greatly respect and he is entitled to his opinion.. But you didn't tag. But you decided to go after easy targets. You want to attack me over my opinion then that's fine, but at least take the time to get my opinion correct. My opinion has always been that it's marathon not a sprint. Five months is a long time. He was fine not pushing ITHOM because why would he five months out with no band. He would do a bit more two months prior and finally do his usual blitz a month out. His management has gotten him this far people should trust it because it's not an easy job. And he's had this much success why would he change now? Now I gotten bitched out for that opinion and now I'm being related to something that's been the complete opposite of what I've said. My proof is my post history, have at it.
