Listened to the acoustix Maida Vale sessions of NGHFB from last year today and they're stunning. What's worrying is that most of the songs from the first album are streets ahead of the first 2 singles from CY. I'm worried how this new album will be now. Disagree. Respectfully, of course. Think these songs (including DTD) are just as good. |

Agreed with Vito81- people just don't get it- it's all to do with expectation. When Noel says it's one of the best songs he's ever written- it can only be underwhelming, and it was. But I still love it though, when hearing it through a proper sound system I know I'm gonna love it so much more. Bring on the CD

Noel is pushing 50, he isn't going to have a lot of chart success, nor do i think he cares. What is important to him is critical acclaim. Noel is approaching middle aged, and I still find him cool as fuck. In fact, he's only gotten cooler with age. Words cannot describe how much respect I have for Noel. APPROACHING middle age?? |

I think CY is gonna have more about it, with more risks taken. Although HFB was a great album, I feel he played it safe with it being his 1st, by adding Stop The Clocks and Record Machine. Alone On The Rope and Simple Game Of Genius, would of made the album twice as strong. He already has his fan base sorted now though and knows what is what, so I feel CY will be more bulked out, a little risky and less Oasisy.

I found an interesting cover on Youtube. If you ignore the little mistakes and the pronunciation is pretty good cover. The vocals remind me of SOAD's singer "Serj Tankian".

Does anyone remember if they sold out of the ITHOTM 7" and then put it back on the site for sale? The BOTMI one is sold out, and was instantly, and I didn't get one. But I swear that I remember the ITHOTM one selling out instantly, and then people on here mentioning that they ordered it once it was back in stock.
Anyone remember? I have ever single Noel release on vinyl except for the new one and I'm freaking out a bit.

I would like to hear the multi tracks on this, some interesting things going on with the string section in the final chorus after Johnny's guitar solo I think. Pretty neat too.
