Don't think this song is ever gonna grow on me. Think it's really boring and plods and I have no idea why people like it.

Beady’s Here Now told me to tell you guys that the coat the Noel steals in the video happens to be a coat Liam sold to that store, thus because Noel picked that coat, Oasis will reunite. I don't know how to phrase this properly so I'll be blunt. Beady’s Here Now is kinda like the village idiot of these parts. Totally harmless and fun. I pity him though. Poor guy blinks In every photo he takes.

Music is a complex matter, maybe more than politics or movies. It touches the soul, so i can understand people going far to defend or criticize something, as long as it's not insulting. Sometimes i even go far on this one because i feel nothing when i listen to Mighty I, and that's a first with Noel Gallagher. Even his worst songs from before, something was clicking in my head. This time, zero, none, nothing. Feels like background or elevator music to me. Ah well... let's hope the record makes me feel different. I'll look for those "remixes" you mention. As far as i'm concerned, DM and MG could use some Beatles-like remastering. But it would still listen to both versions : As an audiophile, id go for the remasters (those Beatles remasters are orgasmic for the ears)... but as an Oasis fans, the originals, coz they are amazing and captured a unique moment. For someone that doesn't feel anything about the song you don't half go on about it For someone who is a gallagher fan you clearly didn't read, or understood the post and the point i'm making.

My thoughts on this song: - I'm looking forward to receive my copy of the coloured vinyl. - I've only listened to this song once. - i'm pretty happy with the guitar solo by my forever guitar hero. - Some people love it, some dont. Leave it as it is and deal with it even others disagree.

I understand what you say. Just don't agree. Just don't understand the obvious hate on you have about a song that made no impact on you. Which is all I was saying. I've read all your criticism. They seem valid enough. Don't agree with many of them. But you are welcome to them.

If Mighty I, which might be one of the safe choices from the record (it was chosen for a single), can cause such a shitstorm around these parts, I can only wonder what will happen if The Right Stuff is as avant-garde as Noel puts it.
Everytime someone says something like 'this is Noel Gallagher, not fookin' Radiohead*, stop that weird shite and give me songs with three chords and lyrics about shagging and drugs' I will have a beer. I will keep you posted about it.
*(Since whenever anything is slightly more complicated than Cigarettes and Alcohol it must be compared to Radiohead, as they are the epitome of experimental art, apparently.)

Still grows on me. Can't wait to hear it live.
If this was a bonus track, and not a single, in Germany or Japan I think all of you in this thread would have gone mad.

Of course it won't be, since it seems like Sun Ra the way Noel describes it. Still, I have a hunch that it might be enough to start a huge shitstorm in the forum, given the reactions we've seen to Mighty I.

I don't think it will reach 1m by the 12th, but it will be damned close. Much faster than ITHOTM). Oddly though, it's not showing this same improvement in the charts or Spotify.

Noel is pushing 50, he isn't going to have a lot of chart success, nor do i think he cares. What is important to him is critical acclaim.

And then I've just realized that Taylor Swift's brand new single has 358.444.251... Not fair to compare anyone to Tay Tay. She's sold the most albums over the last 12 months globally, dominates youtube and is playing nearly every football stadium in America this summer. She's also smoking hot.

As usual, it's all about expectations. Everybody loved WAL when it came out because nobody knew how good Noel was going to be solo - this time we knew he can be great, and he has talked up BOTMI quite a bit.

Listened to the acoustix Maida Vale sessions of NGHFB from last year today and they're stunning. What's worrying is that most of the songs from the first album are streets ahead of the first 2 singles from CY. I'm worried how this new album will be now.

Noel is approaching middle aged, and I still find him cool as fuck. In fact, he's only gotten cooler with age. Words cannot describe how much respect I have for Noel.
