The point is b-sides are declining across the board going on 15 years now. First CD singles had 4 tracks, then 3, now consider yourself lucky to have 2! Fewer artists even do them anymore. Instead 4-5 songs will be part of the deluxe version of an album, then divided up amongst 3-4 eventual singles. Just like Noel is doing now. Or what Beady Eye did with BE. I was extracting the urine :-) Don't worry Lennon, you'll get plenty more songs when Noel drops his third album later this year... I hope you are right. With Noel Gallagher I've learned one thing, always expect less, not more. He's the anti Damon Albarn.

When Noel was doing the Q&A and was talking about having another project in the works that just needed lyrics, I was dreaming that it could be a Damon/Noel collab. But alas, a dream.

If we're talking opposites - I've always wondered what a conversation between Liam and Thom Yorke would go like... Probably the most awkward thing ever lol I'm trying not to think about BOTMI but I'm just too hyped

To be fair there was originally only one b-side so it's kinda returned to status quo Yes true but In today's musical climate, an album is now announced, there is typically a version that has 4-5 "bonus" tracks. Weeks later when the singles come out the b-sides are always pulled from these bonus tracks. That's my point. The day of being surprised by b-sides on the 3rd or 4th singles are slowing going the route of the dinosaurs. True, but we're getting the songs either way, only the experience of how we get them is different. I prefer getting all songs in one go, saving having to fork out for additional 2-track singles on which one of the songs is already available. I do miss the good old days though were singles were essentially EPs. Cigarettes & Alcohol? That would've made up half an album for latter day Oasis!

I'm excited too. But I think we won't have a b-side, which isn't good, is it?

I believe that was that 10 track Kinks-inspired instrumental project, but I'm not exactly sure. I know for sure it's not the AA project though

Can't imagine it's changed much. Noel said revolution song was canned because it had a choir that sounded similar to Tender. The demo doesn't have a choir so the final version may have changed a bit. I often find myself singing this song around the house even though I've not listened to it for many years, so I'm really interested to see how it turned out.
