From all of the song titles on the record, this is the one that I was immediately most excited to hear. Also, can't wait to see what color that vinyl is. City Blue again? I'm imagining a green vinyl, based in that art cover from the other thread, or one of these colours I'd be down for purple. The color of royalty.

It probably won't happen, but wouldn't that be a shocker if "Come on Outside" showed up as a B-side to The Mighty I? You have no idea how happy I'd be. But it's not going to happen. Isn't it confirmed to be Revolution Song?

I'm most excited for Lock All The Doors from this album, but Mighty I is second. This weekend will fly by as they all do, but I can't wait to wake up (late as I'm a lazy fucker) Monday, rush to my PC and blast this out of my surround sound system for the whole of my village to hear!
I know it's a simplistic and primitive thing to want, but I really hope this song has a massive, sing-along chorus. I doubt I'll be disappointed as I never am with NG no matter what type of song it is, but personally I'm hoping for a cleaner, faster, more electronically tinged DLBIA xD
...Would be nice!

It probably is Revolution Song but it seems weird they didn't mention it. There is no such thing as "b-sides" anymore. Only "bonus" tracks that serve various functions while marketing an album. ... uhm...no! There still are b-sides and will ever be as long as singles are released as physical records, especially as vinyl records. For instance: If I have a look at the backcover of my 7" single of the ITHOTM - released only a few weeks ago - there is somtething written which states "B - do the damage" ;-) ITHOTM/DTD is not a double A-side release. By the way: What is the function of a b-side? I can tell: Its exactly what you described as the function of bonus tracks. In a nutshell: A b-side is, was and will always be a bonus track ... a bonus track to the a-side. ;-)

Kind of disappointed that all the singles are now available to buy on 7" vinyl again when they said last time that they were all limited edition.... Makes our originals worthless

I don't think that's the cover art! Don't know why everyone has jumped to that conclusion. It's simply the "cover art" for his playlist on Spotify "The World Of Noel Gallagher":
not sure why people started saying it's gonna be the artwork for the single?

Couldn't care less about the artwork - not for singles anyway... Just hoping that the tune will be a killer - does anyone have he link to where Noel apparently said it's the best song on there? Someone said he did but I don't remember...

Yeah, but there is "Ballad of the Mighty I" on the top. Why make a cover with the name of the song if you are not going to use this later to the single release? Let's wait and see!

Given the b-sides/bonuses we've heard from Noel so far, do you think he could do a solo b-sides album further down the line? Do The Damage Good Rebel Freaky Teeth Revolution Song I'd Pick You Every Time ... Alone On A Rope Let The Lord Shine A Light On Me Add in a few more tracks in the middle and that's shaping up to be a pretty good compilation. Especially if an unreleased song or two was added like Come On Outside. Would tide us over between album cycles and his casual fans like the Tesco mums won't have heard many of these tracks.

I think we should agree on the exact definition of the word "bonus" in this specific context before continuing this debate any further... The point is b-sides are declining across the board going on 15 years now. First CD singles had 4 tracks, then 3, now consider yourself lucky to have 2! Fewer artists even do them anymore. Instead 4-5 songs will be part of the deluxe version of an album, then divided up amongst 3-4 eventual singles. Just like Noel is doing now. Or what Beady Eye did with BE.

To be fair there was originally only one b-side so it's kinda returned to status quo

Weeks later when the singles come out the b-sides are always pulled from these bonus tracks. That's my point. The day of being surprised by b-sides on the 3rd or 4th singles are slowing going the route of the dinosaurs.

I was extracting the urine :-) Don't worry Lennon, you'll get plenty more songs when Noel drops his third album later this year...
