Utterly forgettable. No melody, no guitars, no chorus, no hook, seems uninspired. Ah, the old good Noel. This tune is so boring, it doesn't go anywhere to me. No.

Now we are all excited. We will see in 2 years. It's not one of the best songs he's ever written, for sure, not even in the top 40.

With every listen, I love more and more strings and Johnny Marr's arpeggios.

What's all this fuss about the song not having a chorus? I don't know if it's just me or what... but I do hear a chorus! Am I fucking mad?? I’ll find you, yes I’ll find you If I gotta be the man who walks the earth I’ll find you, yes I’ll find you If I gotta be the man who walks the earth aloneSame with me mate! I think I'm going mental!

Very good track, really like it. Didn't like ITHOTM at first, but it grew very slowly on me. I've liked this one since the first listen. Well done, chief.

Just another bland song from Noel in my opinion. There is no chances taken, it's not different, it's safe as houses pop music. Like his other stuff, I'm sure it will be popular with the middle aged and get plenty of airtime on Sky Sports.
Gave the first record a go, and listened to the ones of this new album, and I can only come to the conclusion that Noel's solo stuff isn't for me.

Chorus is good, but overproduced with those pop vocals. Imho I didn't like it first, then I used to like it, and now I don't like it again. Strange song

The more people talk about Marr's quitar touches, the strings, the beat ,the atmosphere, the MORE OBVIOUS IT BECOMES THAT THE SONG IS COMPLETELLY WORTHLESS IN THE MELODY DEPARTMENT which matters the most.
A good song doesn't need ethereal and atmospheric production to shine. It should sound good on an acoustic quitar or a simple piano.
Anybody could have written this trash in 20 minutes, but they would' fail to release it,because they don't have Noel's fame.
Seriously the sooner people realise that this is a shit tune, the less ridicule they will face from non fanboys ,who know a good tune when they hear one.
Uninspired and forced are the key words.Massive ,complete dissapointment from a truly great songwriter.

We get it - you don't like the song. But don't fucking try and force your opinion down the throats of everyone and claim everyone is wrong, considering its MUSIC and its SUBJECTIVE. If you can't adhere to this fact, then fuck off.

I really want to know where Noel got the inspiration to write these lyrics... Everybody asks him how he writes his songs, and he talks about the melody, but how does an apparently happily married man comes with lyrics about chasing someone that's constantly ignoring him? Wish someone would ask him that...

Wow! This escalated quickly. I do understand that people dislike this song. But calling people names for liking it is just stupid.
It doesn't have the usual Noel Gallagher song structure. 'Ballad Of The Mighty I' is suprisingly different, but still works great as a song and feels really fresh. The chorus is not as obvious as in 'Acquiesce' for example (which by the way is one of my top 3 oasis songs) but you can't say that the 'i'll find you' part doesn't get stuck in your head.
In my honest opinion, it's the best Gallagher song i've heard since the soundcheck version of 'Dying Of The Light'.

I’m also at work and not able to listen to it properly. The audio that my PC produces makes your ears bleed (even with headphones). But the current discussion does make me very curious. It seems the board has split into yet another new subgroup the ‘’I liked Noel’s first album, dislike his new material’’ group.
