I never counted you as a troll, but I guess you are. You're a troll with this useless quoting. Tell us, what did you want?

This song is pure magic. I want to listen more and more, and it is getting more and more bigger. The strings, the Marr's guitar riffs, Noel's strong vocals, there is so many positive points, is a masterpiece. I'm very excited too about the transition of While the Song Remains the Same to Ballad of the Mighty I. Must be beautiful.
What I can say, is DEFINITELY a grower, and it is one from the most big ones.

The more people talk about Marr's quitar touches, the strings, the beat ,the atmosphere, the MORE OBVIOUS IT BECOMES THAT THE SONG IS COMPLETELLY WORTHLESS IN THE MELODY DEPARTMENT which matters the most. A good song doesn't need ethereal and atmospheric production to shine. It should sound good on an acoustic quitar or a simple piano. Anybody could have written this trash in 20 minutes, but they would' fail to release it,because they don't have Noel's fame. Seriously the sooner people realise that this is a shit tune, the less ridicule they will face from non fanboys ,who know a good tune when they hear one. Uninspired and forced are the key words.Massive ,complete dissapointment from a truly great songwriter. Enough, we have understood ten of your posts ago that you don't like the song. There's no need to try to convert people to your beliefs.

It's decent, it isn't great. The chorus isn't strong enough in my opinion, the same people who are now saying chorus' don't matter are the same people who constantly dig at Beady Eye for not having chorus' in their songs. Make your mind up. It's an enjoyable listen. Erm..... don't think we are saying that. Like I said, the 'yes I'll find you' bit soars - by far the best bit of the song and its the chorus. In fact, it could suit well for a Bond theme tune. There are many reasons why others love this song - great instrumentation with a great beat to it, great vocals, really nice lyrics too - and its not derivative either. But it's also got a melancholy feel to the tune so there's more to it than simply 'just a chorus'. I can't understand why some folk are trying to turn this into a Beady Eye v Noel discussion. I'm not turning this in to Beady Eye vs Noel at all, I've just seen a few people say 'not every song has to have a in your face chorus' when I find it strange that people use that against Beady Eye. Anyway, I've listened to it a few more times, I love it.

Great attempt that tab. I have the same. Except in the verse I think there are two notes, not just the Fm. Some sort of C#

What's all this fuss about the song not having a chorus? I don't know if it's just me or what... but I do hear a chorus! Am I fucking mad?? I’ll find you, yes I’ll find you If I gotta be the man who walks the earth I’ll find you, yes I’ll find you If I gotta be the man who walks the earth aloneI can't answer for the others, but here's what I meant with my post. When I wrote the post after listening to it 3-4 times I thought the chorus kinda got lost inbetween the verses, and the "I'll find you"-part (especially the first one) sounded more like a pre-chorus part rather than a chorus. When Noel starts repeating it, it helps it stand out more in the song. Still my point is the same; it doesn't lack a chorus, but a strong chorus that stands out. It builds up to it several times, but when the start of the chorus plays it sounds a bit more like a pre-chorus. It grows on me everytime I listen to it though. Also, I still think there should at least be something happening around 3:33 in the song (in the video), like a middle 8 or something with a burst of energy and electric guitars, to bring some variation and shake things up a bit.

I'm sure a lot of people who'll hear it on the radio without knowing will be suspecting Danny McNamara to sing the first line.
about the 'chorus' , I think people feel it's not a chorus because it used to be what Noel used as a bridge. but it's just used now as a chorus by repeating 'I'll find you'
also thought the song would finally explode at around 3.45 but it just drags forever with that not so good chorus.
still growing every listen, but Heat Of The Moment is way better to me. from what we got now, 3 good songs but I'm sure we've yet to hear the Noel Gallagher we RELLY want. The Dying Of The Light will be.. GRANDIOSE.

That little piano motif at the beginning may be the end of While The Song Remains The Same, with that tune blending into Ballad. It's a neat trick that worked well with Get Off Your High Horse and Falling Down. By the way, anyone think the chorus would be brilliant for a James Bond theme? It's got that feel to it definitely.

I've heard that direct outro from somewhere, but I can't remember where. I want to say The Twang, but I can't find the song. I don't care for the outro, and probably because I've heard it somewhere before. BUT WHERE!?

My faith in Noel is back. The Magic is back. Now i finally can get excited for the new album cause this song is better than anything than was on HFB #1. And this is really a huge step forward from Oasis, Noel now is a completely different thing, no wonder he laughs at the reunion idea.
He still got IT, you know ? Very inspirational how you can reinvent yourself as an artist and still dont' lose this X factor. By the way i think it's a great radio song and it should do really well in charts, i can imagine people who never were into Oasis getting caught by that kind of music. Genius.
Bravo Noel !

Really I love how it's "this is fucking brilliant" and then the next post is "this is the worst thing Noel has ever written" and it goes like this for pages and pages and pages and pages
Oh, I'll quote everything Carlober and Matt say in this thread

I just love the restraint in this thing. The chorus is subdued but infectious, the JM solo isn't over the top but very JM. Also, the video is hilarious and self-aware.
