These might be his darkest lyrics since Gas Panic. He is in full on stalker mode. Missed an opportunity with the video. Could have had him following the girl around. I agree, even though i like the video

Are you not a beady eye fanboy? He isn't at all. You might have to accept its a fan of Noels music who doesn't like the new tune. Seems to not like most things he has done post Oasis. You as well.

I fucking love this song from the start, and it gets better and better and better. It's as far removed from dad rock lumpy shite like The Good Rebel and thank fuck for that! Finally somebody said this! Fuck The Good Rebel, that is what I describe as plodding, boring and quite uninspired. It really feels like something from the Heathen Chemistry era (and actually it is). Noel should stay away from that kind of sound... and it looks like he's going to...

I will say this: The verses are fucking incredible. IT JUST LACKS A CHORUS.
Love the production, too. Crisp, clear, good bass, decent drumming. Everything can be heard.
It is subtle, and I'm starting to appreciate it a lot more. But WHY CHORUS NO SOAR!?

Oh yeah of course if you don't like every Noel Gallagher release then you are a BE 'fanboy' You're worse than what you imply others to be. You probably hadn't read my comments about the song but I think its alright.

The only possible explanation why people don't like this is that the expectations were ridiculously high. I mean, it's pretty much a clearly better version of What a Life and everybody loved that when it came out in 2011. Noel has made it clear in interviews hat BOTMI would be in the same vibe, it's better, it has Johnny Marr, it has a better chorus/main melody, what's not to love?
And to the "not enough chorus" crowd: I wouldn't expect Noel to do a Supersonic or If I Had A Gun on a song like this, and there is an absolutely fine chorus.

I also don't get those who say this is "modern." To me it has a retro sound, especially with the echoing vocals. Brilliant.

Talk about doing a 180, in a very short amount of time: I actually think this is fucking brilliant.

The verses are generic, the bridge is generic, the chorus doesn't exist.......it's SHIT get over it fanboys.
You can't polish a turd.
Great production, non existent song.
His idol McCartney writes better tunes in his seventies.

It's really grown on me since this morning and I liked it then! Others have pretty much summed it up but it's great. Johnny Marr's guitar really adds to it as well.

Talk about doing a 180, in a very short amount of time: I actually think this is fucking brilliant. At first I too thought it could use a better chorus, but it does have a chorus. The structure of the song is just kinda weird, not entirely obvious/predictable but that's what makes it brilliant imho. The "I will find you" x2 and the bit after that is the chorus for me.

Hmmm, first listen and it's a bit muzak - hope it's a grower like some people are saying. Very, very pop. Interesting detour from Noel.

What isn't mentioned enough: -The use of strings is brilliant. -The middle part with the guitar 'solo' sounded boring to me at first, but it's actually quite inspired, nice chord progression. The chord progression of the chorus is, obviously, also brilliant.
