Have to say i love it! 'In The Heat Of The Moment' never really worked out for me (especially all the nananas), 'Do The Damage' is a nice little piece of music but this gets me really excited for the album. Like someone already mentioned 'Ballad Of Mighty I' sounds quit like 'Falling Down'+ 'What A Life' and it works so well, love the atmosphere of the song. Can't wait for more Completely agree with everything. Concerning ITHOTM, it would so be so much better without these silly Nanananas. I hope at least live, they will be banned. I have the impression it's the main thing that people don't like about ITHOTM. Spoils it somehow.

Cool song. Not sure I need lyric sheets for it though...................... I downloaded it real fast this morning, gave it a quick listen before getting ready to leave for work. My first "real" full listen was in my car. Glad I didn't have to experience the 2 min 57 second version. Sounds criminal. Sounds pretty sweet driving around town, kinda has that "driving" feel to it. The one thing you can say about this go-around for Noel is that all the songs sound very fresh and 2015. Glad the 1965-1966 sounds are put away for once. I got enough of that between 2000 and 2011. In terms of chart success, who the hell knows. It's a young mans game anyways. # RedPantsForLife

It's 'messiness' is a good thing! What A Life got boring quickly because it was too straight, verse that never changes melody--chorus that never changes melody x3
Also to the comment 'you wouldn't stop Wonderwall after the 'there are many things' line' This isn't supposed to be like Wonderwall or to be a straight up pop song! It was written to be another Falling Down/WAL but it's far more interesting than those two
Personally I love messy, unorthodox song structures, quick changes in tempo/mood, strange background embellishes, rhythmic changes, vocal volume/production switching etc in a song. So I was always going to love this and what Noel is doing with this album to be fair. It's not exactly modern day Radiohead, or something AA would release, it's still melodic pop/rock, it's just been worked on, thought out and and well produced enough to give us something different to enjoy and it's an excellent album closer!
It does have a chorus, it just leaps into it immediately and gradually reveals more of it each time we hit it which I think is great! I don't understand how any Oasis/Noel fan could be disappointed by this tbh

If you've pre-ordered the album on iTunes can you get the song now?

This is underwhelming as fuck. So disappointed.
Please tell me Noel didn't say this was the best song on the album, and one of the best he's ever written? It's so lackluster in every single way.
And so much for guitar solos. I knew that was a bullshit rumor.

If you've pre-ordered the album on iTunes can you get the song now? I think BOTMI will be available for digital release tomorrow based on what Amazon's saying, and the full single (i.e. BOTMI + b-side) will be available in late February on vinyl... (Just my guess)

This is what i could make out of the lyrics (while using the lyrics mentioned above ) Ballad Of The Mighty I Followed you down to the end of the world To wait outside your window In the heat of the rain I call your name But you just pass me by You put me up like a fly on the wall You need a blame when the heavens fall Give me a sign when you hear me call you just pass me by The colours around me are fading away I’ll be waiting come what may I’ll find you, yes I’ll find you If i gotta be the man that walks the earth alone Followed the stars and I sang to the sun and held it in my fingers Alone on the beach on my own out of reach you just pass me by Give you the world if you take my hand but you left me alone in the sinking sand Strike up the band for one last stand and you just pass me by Show me the rules of the games you play and I’ll be awaiting come what may I’ll find you, yes I’ll find you If I gotta be the man who walks the earth I’ll find you, yes I’ll find you If i gotta be the man that walks the earth alone Followed you now to the end of the world to wait outside your window In the heat of the rain I’ll call your name but you just pass me by Wherever you run I’ll be on your tail whenever you’re hiding behind your veil I’ll find you, yes I’ll find you If I gotta be the man who walks the earth I’ll find you, yes I’ll find you If I gotta be the man who walks the earth alone.

It builds up brilliantly, and then we get the lackluster "I'll find you/Yes, I'll find you", where's the big Noel G. chorus?

I think the "ill find you" is a great chorus, not really a "noel" chorus but still great

No real chorus. No guitar solo. Johnny Marr wasn't needed. Feels like it could fit on a The Twang record. Missed opportunity.

I don't know what to make of the song as a single choice.
However I think the song is a very decent album closer.

But THERE's a fucking solo There is one, but its not really stand out in the track, so i'd say its 'half a solo", its great nonetheless, one of my fav NGHFB tunes so far

You are an idiot. After listening to it about 20x's this am Ive changed my opinion. Now I think its really good. This is definitely not Oasis. Its interesting to see where hes grown musically. These might be some of his best vocals even though some of the lyrics are hard to make out because they overlap.
