A bit dissapointed, but my expectations were so high.
Think it will grow, though. Three stars out of five from me.
Will be a good live song with Russ backing vocals.
It's intesting - for every wardrobe change the red pants looks better.
The vocals are AMAZING, btw.
And Noel, soon 48, look cool as fuck. Mindblowing.

I feel like this song is really going to take off. Even possibly a charting in the us. I expect proper advertisement placement on this single in particular.

Spy movie soundtrack, one of the best songs you've ever written. C'mon Noel!
My expectations for the album are way lower now. I like this song, nothing special though, but there's something that I don't like..
Now i Want:
#1. B-Side #2. Live performances

The guitar parts nice but that's 2 songs out of ten that don't have solos now. Noel must be counting Marr's bit as a solo.

I am liking this. Will take a few more listens. Where is Johnny Marr's guitar though... :/ He is the very very very very very subtle guitar work sprinkled through out and again around the 4:50 mark. Blink and you might miss it completely.......

Five listens of the complete version now and my view is that...this is an incredible song! I listened to the radio edit live and I was so underwhelmed I have to say. No chorus (even though it felt like it was building to something!), fragmented structure, it just felt and sounded weird. Then, after watching the video (which is itself a really great thing!) and getting the full track, as Noel originally intended, I was instantly impressed! This is an epic song! What A Life meets Falling Down but bigger and with very careful instrumentation and mixing. Granted, it doesn't have a standard chorus (more of a grander version of the verse), but the sheer production of the song well and truly makes up for it. Sadly, I think the radio edit is awful and really takes the majesty out of this song and just makes it a strange, stagnant sounding song. I, like many of you, hate radio edits and I think a song of this calibre deserves it's full value on the radio! Anyway, I think it'd be fair to say that no matter what your view of this song as a single or an album track, it's definitely a better album closer than Stop The Clocks. I personally love it more and more with each listen. I agree with this chap, this song is a belter

This song is strange. I listen to it and I don't like it, then I listen to it again and I like it. I think I'll need more time

Woah, that bridge or whatever it is, is absolutely hideous. I mean the whole song isn't that bad, but it's not what I want to hear from Noel.

Which means this is going to be the single that is out right before the album?
I like it. It's gonna take a few more listens for me to fully decide. I gotta sleep though.
The video is hilarious though. Finally something with a bit of character. He should keep this director. lol. Could have done without the miming bit though. Noel looked cooler walking around.

I actually like the song even if it's a bit out there in comparison to his past work.
As far as the video goes, it's way better than anything Mike Bruce ever did. Even Noel's acting is better that what he did in Everybody's on the Run.
I love what he did with the director using all of the shit he's heard through the years (energy in his eyes, guy calls him Liam, etc.) That was pretty funny!

Worst part of the song is at 1:00 in the video. the guitar, the tone, it's cringeworthy. he clearly tried to repeat What a Life but failed miserably. The bass and drums are good though. but the cheesy keyboards and guitar ruin the whole thing

5/5. Great tune.
Not sure what people expected? We were told it was a bit funky/dancy.

Have to say i love it! 'In The Heat Of The Moment' never really worked out for me (especially all the nananas), 'Do The Damage' is a nice little piece of music but this gets me really excited for the album. Like someone already mentioned 'Ballad Of Mighty I' sounds quit like 'Falling Down'+ 'What A Life' and it works so well, love the atmosphere of the song.
Can't wait for more

On my 10th listen and the song only keeps getting better and better. I seriously can't believe the reaction from some of the people here. What is it that offends people so much? The arrangement, the structure, the modulations, or Marr's (brilliant) guitar parts? It's a fairly new style for Noel but not that much of a dramatic departure, it's even got a big, catchy chorus. Like a much improved version of What a Life.
I wouldn't be surprised if Noel repeated the success he had with WAL. I can see a lot of people liking this song.
