Holy cow, I know I said I was waiting for my mediabook but Blind Guardian have left me stunned with Ashes of Eternity. May be my favourite track off Beyond the Red Mirror.

^ Don't know why but I could never get into Modest Mouse. Probably the dude's yuppie voice.
The Kanye/Paul song is pretty good. Good to see Kanye's softer side. Kanye singing is never gonna be amazing (although 808 is highly influential). The lyrics/passion and Paul's keys make the song. Honestly it'd be awesome to hear if they did anymore work together. Imagine a classic melodic Paul bassline thrown in a Kanye song. Could be superb.
As for 2015 I'm excited for these releases (i think most of these artists are releasing something this year). I'm sure I've forgotten some.
Beach House Best Coast FIDLAR Frank Ocean Kanye West Kendrick Lamar My Morning Jacket Noel Gallagher Radiohead Spiritualized Tame Impala Toro Y Moi Unknown Moral Orchestra
Fingers crossed for the new the Avalanches album.

Uptwon Special by Mark Ronson (and the 300 people who co-wrote and co-produced the record) is good
Summer Breaking, Daffodils and Leaving Los Feliz ft. Kevin Parker (Tame Impala) are very good. Uptown Funk yeah, not bad, nothing special either. I can't lose isn't that good, too pop. The others are just okay, imho.
This guy wasn't very famous until november. His label and management are doing great. He wrote this song with Bruno Mars (that's the big deal) and now he wrote the soundtracks for a film featuring Johnny Depp.
This is for the series: If you want to become famous you just need to pay people.

Any sign of The Charlatans new album yet? It's out on Monday. Hoping that Noels album doesn't take this long to leak

I thought the album was ok, but nothing special. Daffodils and Uptown Funk stood out as the best on it. Bit harsh to say he wasn't famous until November, he was pretty big around 2007/2008 when he did that covers album with Amy Winehouse signing Valerie and Lily Allen doing Oh My God on it. The album he released after that pretty much bombed though, the lead single Bang Bang Bang made it to 6 in the charts but that was it. Everyone kind of forgot about him after that right.

I can also vaguely remember a song about bikes. I think Mark Ronson had white hair in the clip. And the singer sounded like that dude from The View.

uhhhh Mark Ronson is pretty famou.. Maybe not a huge solo artist or a house hold namem but dude has produced some HUGE albums by some HUGE artists. He is a well known music figure in production circles. One of the best. He did about half of Black to Black by Amy Winehouse, which is one of the biggest records of the past 10-15 years. He's worked with Paul McCartney, Adele, Robbie Williams, Duran Duran, and Nas to name a few. His new album is decent enough I suppose. Naturally, being a Tame Impala fan I prefer the stuff he worked on with Kevin parker but overall the album is solid retro-kitch throwback pop.

Oh no wonder that dude looked and sounded so familiar You've reminded me - the View are set to release a new album in 2015 too, nearly forgot. I used to love them a few years ago, but their last album was a big let down for me.

Los Campesinos aren't releasing a new album this year (and society is worse for it), but if they were....

The Sonics' 2015 album. I don't expect it to be amazing, but it's going to be released 50 years after the fucking debut.
