Oh Muse are another I forgot about. Curious as to whether the album is heavier than their last few albums like they've been saying.

Chasing Yesterday, then nothing in particular. The Stone Roses new album, if they're going to release it. And some stuff from new bands like Temples, Royal Blood, Superfood etc. if they will release something. I don't like Muse, Coldplay nor Radiohead. So I don't care about them. I have suspicions that The Stone Roses may (or may have already) split up. There were rumours months ago, and they were neither confirmed nor denied and we haven't heard a peep from any of the members for well over a year now.

Wow. Quite a lot of crap in that list, unsurprisingly. Hopefully we'll have a few good albums by real artists, though.

I have suspicions that The Stone Roses may (or may have already) split up. There were rumours months ago, and they were neither confirmed nor denied and we haven't heard a peep from any of the members for well over a year now. Tbf, I never really expected them to put out a new album anyway (they managed 2 in their first 10 years, and that was their creative bloom), and even then, how good would it be? Still, 2015 has me very excited about new music - lots of good stuff coming: - Chasing Yesterday, obviously - Circa Waves' debut in March (should be great - I guess a few people here like them as well?) - Carl Barat & the Jackals in February - The Libertines - The Fratellis I think The Rifles posted something's on New Years Eve about a new album coming in 2015. I'm always interested to hear what they come out with, I enjoyed quite a few tracks on 2014's 'None The Wiser'. They're true grafters, I'll be very willing to listen to whatever they next give us. Don't remember that - would be great though, None the Wiser was their best album yet and that was only a year ago.

Am I the only person who didn't get into The Libertines?

Am I the only person who didn't get into The Libertines? Nope, I never got the hype. From that era, I really like Arctic Monkeys, but even then there was this massively overhyped obsession with new British guitar bands, and both the Monkeys and Libertines were covered in such a way. I can't help but think this was an agenda driven by the NME to unearth that next 'big thing' in British guitar music, but in reality, they still haven't found it yet. As for Libertines, don't think Pete Doherty is much kop as a singer, and nothing about Carl Barat's guitar work enthralls me. He's a decent lyricist I'll give him that and there's a few couplets that will stick in my mind forever, but musically they sound too dull for me, as is the case for most 'indie' bands in recent years. I don't let it get in the way of the music either, but Pete Doherty seems like a terrible person too. P.S. I also shudder at the terrible bands they inspired in the UK too.

The Coral were probably the best of the NME 2002-2003 breakouts anyways.

The Libertines might be the voice of someone but it just isn't for me. I've tried. Didn't take.

I agree, if she sounds as good as she did on her former band After Forever's albums, could beat Annete (I'm glad that wasn't a Tarja-Annette derailment)
