Does he say "the one and only take?" at the end of the track? Haha, lazy bastard this Noel. I hear that too He probably wrote this on his couch in five minutes while waiting for the tea. It's a nice little tune, but definitely not album worthy.

This song is a bonus track only on Japan, but obviously, I was expecting for something like The Importance of Being Idle or Everybody's on the Run...
I liked! Good song for a bonus, funny, pretty decent.

Some people have had it 16 hours in their mitts.. I would wager it is on a Japanese tracker, I just do not know of any.

Anywhere I can hear it? I'm not too fussed about a bonus track from another country so I can afford myself to listen to this one! Thanks but that has to be the worst thing he has ever recorded.

Any major power user of a non-What tracker is a member of and would put it on What for the bounty. Its dead of morning in Japan right now and many shops prob arent even open yet. Give it time. Its not on Jpopsuki at any rate. Within the next 6-12 hours, but really any time is possible.

Not retro and derivative? Like I said - it is what it is, a throwaway tune meaning not worthy of an official release. Still avant grade compared to Beady Eye mind...... (RUNS AWAY AND SLAMS THE DOOR) It is being officially released. Hypocrites always run.

And what about the cell phone signal at 2:55? Is that an artifact from the video or is it present on the track?

If you read the thread Tower records released it yesterday so its been available in japan physically for nearly 24 hours now

Still no Freeky Teeth After that though, we may be waiting another 3 years for new material. I really hope not though obviously! I really like this bonus track.

It's a fun tune, obviously not as serious as the rest of the album. I can't help thinking though they told Noel last minute that they needed a song for the Japan release and Noel wrote it on the spot.

Blimey, the Liam fanboys are out in full force tonight! Yeah good one!! Is amazing that not only is your pathetic justification hilarious (as it is an official release/ irrelevant) you go down to the the fanboy route yet again .. how exactly is this fanboy Anyway i wont ask as it all end like this overreaction Blimey, you make it seem as if singing with a female is wrong. Sexist much? 'I WANT PISS THROWING YOBS TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH NOEL, NOT SOME GIIIRRLLL!!!'. Are you 5 years old with a 'I don't like girls' attitude? Or is just 'gaaaaaaaaaay' as some pathetic individuals would say? Broaden your horizons if that's really a problem. Read more: live4ever.proboards.com/thread/80860/chasing-yesterday-review-thread?page=4#ixzz3Sha2mdCfthey said a duet with a girl like many many others mentioned.. so like i say... haha... oh dear

What were people expecting for a Japanese Bonus track...Live Forever 2.0?
I like this track. There hasn't been a single song from this era that I don't like. Unlike the steaming pile of crap that was The Good Rebel from the previous era, which is definitely in the bottom 10 Noel tracks of all time.

Agree, it's a piss take tune and it knows it - like Boneheads Bank Holiday. And The Good Rebel is one of the most shocking tunes I've ever heard in my life. It sucked live also - he could easily have replaced it with I'd Pick You Everytime in the set list.

The fanboys have gone rogue tonight! I like 'Leave My Guitar Alone' matt. Its retro and derivative, sounds like a Beatles demo where they were singing anything while working out the lyrics. Its not reinventing the wheel but hey who cares, its a nice tune. I only asked you because its a stick you often take out to beat other bands with but apparently due this release being unofficial (haha) its ok. I don't really know where I have I said anything in this thread that could put me as being a fanboy.

I don't really know where I have I said anything in this thread that could put me as being a fanboy. Well I'm referring to going in swings and roundabouts with jaq? There's being pastiche in a comic like manner which is deliberately derivative. This song is one of them, like Boneheads Bank Holiday, or When I'm 64 from The Beatles, but it's certainly not good enough for an album release. But there is also being derivative without intending to be a pastiche - like The Good Rebel, and like some Beady Eye tunes - that's a big problem for many bands and the biggest crime from anyone in Oasis. The problem with some folk here is that I apparently slate Beady Eye for everything, but I'm open in my admiration for their tunes which try something different, like a few of the tracks on Be. Likewise Noel - it's not being biased, it's just about quality. And I'd prefer it if both Noel or Beady Eye stop trying to sound like acts from the 60s. Noel seems more open to stepping away from this, whereas Beady Eye to me seemed stuck in a rut at times, incredibly annoying considering they were at their best when they sounded modern - which was evident of untapped ability there I think - rather than 1960s spoof band.
