Is there a valid reason for them doing that? No idea. think it was to standardise western release days / charts to the same day

It's to prevent loss of sales when everyone torrents an album because it was legally released in another country days or weeks beforehand.
Makes sense, surprising it took so long to do really.

Wow! Do we have any threats coming this autumn? The Be Here Now reissue is going to beat it's own sales records to become the fastest selling album of all time. That or it won't get released.

Wow! Do we have any threats coming this autumn? Don't know...Disclosure maybe And if One Direction and Coldplay release their albums this year they're gonna beat it for sure One Direction or The Libs. I can't see Coldplay putting a new record out this year... I'd wager theirs will be out March next year. Racking my brains but can't think of any other serious rivals.

Anyone have access to what the sales are at in the US? Or the UK? Also are there any up to date figures for the first album? CY must have helped sell a fair few more.

According to my sources, Chasing Yesterday has now sold 48 billion copies in Manchester alone.

Still in the top 50, almost half a year later. That's actually fairly impressive. Good on yer, Noel.
