Thank you! Big drop for Kendrick, didn't expect it at all He's not that big anyway, the first week he charted at #1 but with 29k copies sold, BE sold 45k on their first week. Rap may be popular, but in the UK is not so mainstream if you look at the numbers. Rock sells way more copies than Rap/Hip Hop and since 2 years ago was the most bought music genre, in 2014 Pop was Kanye West himself was outsold by Noel My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy: Gold (Noel x2 Platinum) Yeezus: Gold (Noel already Gold)

There are still 2-3 singles yet to come out, the festivals season, a couple of other tv shows in the next months if he wants to (Alan Carr for example, and somebody mentioned Jools Holland in the previous pages), so, I don't want to jinx it, but yeah the chances that this becomes platinum are high, I'd be quite disappointed if it doesn't

It'll go platinum, but 2x platinum it's pretty hard. NGHFB got a big single like What a Life and a lot of promotion.
I think that if CY will end the year with 30 weeks on chart, platinum disc and a top 5 spot for the best selling rock album it will be a good era.
Then starting the 2015 with a performance and an award at the BRITs would be great. Actually super big, that night changed Royal Blood's career. I can't see someone taking the "Best Solo artist" award over him as of now. Plus NME Awards and I still hope for a fucking Finsbury Park filmed gig in May 2016.

I can't see him winning best solo artist with Ed, Sam, James Bay and George around He has a chance at being in the nominees if the album holds on for a while, but it's too soon to say

James Bay... I mean... C'mon. He got a big single Because his label paid for it and that's it. Noel's album is bigger and Noel himself is bigger than him. It would be a joke losing against him, he still can't sell out arenas I'll attend with Noel. If he'll lose We'll destroy the O2 Arena!

I'm okay with Noel losing to Ed Sheeran or Sam Smith. I'm not with Noel losing to James Bay who has: - no 1.5M albums copies sold - no arenas tour - no festival headlines slots (not even Ed Sheeran, but he'll play Wembley) nor relevant sets - no big relevance James Bay is on that part of the career when you release a song, people actually listen to it but they don't even know who you are, so they don't buy your album and don't come to your shows. Let's see if things will change by next year. If not Noel can't lose against him. I refuse to think that, really. It would be embarassing for the whole music world. I would be happy for his co-writer Ian Archer who writes for Jake Bugg as well James Bay as of now is okay with the "best song award", which actually is "Let's find the decent popular songs out there and put them all together and let's see who can win Award". Just like Mark Ronson

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy: Gold that album was so hard to find, it took me weeks and i think i had to go online in the end. i think it charted somewhere silly like 18/19 and i always wondered if it was because it was so hard to find. i think it was a mixture of the artwork and the taylor swift incident

#28 25K sold worldwide. 265K worldwide Is that good in this day and age? Half of that number comes from UK where he's doing really well as of now. In Europe he's doing well (in Germany, very important market, he's doing really good, better than the first album), in Japan good but not as good as the first record. In the US shit, but we know that. Pretty good in Australia. In South America he's big s But now the most important thing is the tour. And it's bigger than the first one (obviously). Gross revenue around £10M as of now plus all the festivals cachet (he's headlining 11 festivals and playing in other 7). And he still has to go to South America.
