There's gold in the city And never quite enough not to pay the rent But never quite enough now to pay the rent You could could've had it all But the pity is that everything you're gonna need is heaven sent Maybe the dream that we had is gone People ride in right here are like a setting sun They're digging you up when they're knocking you don'tBut they can't stop me from loving you. Do wanna wanna fly or dig off lullaby (this d-word is hard part for me) Be my butterfly, but please don't forget it by You do the damage kid This love is not a song about sole handed traveler The fellas wrote a song about the soul of a travelerYou do the damage kid Like a stone I was falling Will any onebody come get me out of here I waiting in the rain for the calling Will anybody come get me out of here Here's what I hear. I feel fairly confident in the sole handed traveler line. For some reason it just sounds like a Noel line.

The perfect b-side. Loud, rough, interesting, but not a great melody or anything.
Deep down, I never really want a b-side to be THAT good, otherwise its just like Shout It Out Loud all over again, when the b-side is better than everything else on the album. If it's a great song with a killer melody then surely it can find a place on the album....
Most importantly, it's a far cry from The Good Rebel which might be my least favorite Noel gallagher song of all time. Someone should put that on a loop with Force of Nature and High Horse Lady to induce confessions out of prisoners at Guatanamo Bay.

I like it. It's upbeat and menacing. Good b-side but glad it's not on the album. Prefer ITHOTM which is actually more of a new sound with some real colour and movement to it. Wish some of the vocals weren't so muddled in with the music at points. I personally think that it's just long enough. Doesn't outstay it's welcome. Might be nice in the live show to have a bit instrumental jams instead of those saxophone maybe. I gotta say that I think Noel's voice is sounding great on these releases. It's good to hear his voice again.

So many clichéd Noel lyrics... But he's done the damage, Kid.

Now how cool would have this been on DOYS, with driving tempo and the menacing undertones? Fuck off, TNOR and AGN.

it's good, but it's not blowing my mind. even with the annoying nanananas I think I prefer ITHOTM. Replace the nananas with a guitar riff and it'd be a cracking tune You're a cracking tune.

Noel's take on Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's "Weapon Of Choice". DTD is so mediocre that Andy Bell could have written it.

Some of the vocals weren't so muddled in with the music at points. One of my biggest gripes with Noel and many others.

Oi, my first post since Beady Eye breaking up....what to say.
I love Noel's new track. DTD is killer and that sax actually fit good. It sounds like Aka...What a Life mixed with My Big Mouth.

Noel's take on Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's "Weapon Of Choice". I felt the same.

It's alright, sounds like a throwaway b-side track, but I don't feel any need to listen to it again. I much prefer a great melody rather than chug dad rock.
So pretty much instantly forgettable sadly.

Still to see any evidence of this 'creativity'. Another sky sports friendly mediocre song.

It's a good tune, I like it. Noel knows what he's doing.

The first NGHFB song where I would have liked to hear Liam take a crack at it. Liam would sound great on this song. God bless.

I guess that's what happens when you're the only one in charge. No one tells you when it's shite. Is it gonna happen to this record ? Fear it, fear it.

I'm loving this, sounds just like I hoped it would, very guitar based with some interesting sounds thrown in there.

I can't stand them two songs but I'd have them over this pile of garbage any day of the week I wouldn't: TNOR and especially AGN are atrocious. I really can't see how you can rate Do The Damage lower than those two...

Noel's take on Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's "Weapon Of Choice". DTD is so mediocre that Andy Bell could have written it. So of you don't half talk some tripe.

Do the Damage is at #12 on Germany's iTunes Alternative Singles Chart. ITHOTM is at #9.
