Yeah not sure if it was in that thread but it was a picture of the back. Okay, uh, look, if you want to just keep on doing the same old thing, then maybe this idea is not for you. I, for one, am not going to compromise my artistic integrity. And I'll tell you something else, this is the show and we're not going to change it. Thanks.

I think I saw a picture of the single cover and it said "produced by Noel Gallagher" and it was mixed by someone who wasn't Sardy either. AFAIK Sardy only produced the songs that made up the final album.

I really like it anyway. The low end is great through good headphones, I like that it's upbeat, and the sax solo is surprisingly great. It's a good B-Side.

So, that's the last time: 1. Intro is too long. 15 seconds would have been better. Also, it's weak. 2. I need more Crash cymbals effects. I don't know how to explain it well in english. I don't like drums pattern. 3. A 20 seconds solo at 2:15 would have been perfect. 4. I'm not liking a lot the first verse. 5. I like the effects on the "pre-chorus" until "But they can't stop me from loving you". 6. Then it's shite. I can't even hear Noel's voice on the chorus. That's why it's weak, I can't sing it. 7. Sax solo is great. It sounds something either from a 007 movie or Arsene Lupin. That's why it is a perfect song for a movie, imho. 8. I love how he sings "sun" and "loving you" And that's it. It's my final opinion about this song. Hoping I explained well Also, lyrics: community.musixmatch.com/it/testo/Noel-Gallagher-s-High-Flying-Birds-2/Do-the-Damage

DO THE DAMADGE by NOEL GALLAGHER
There's gold in the city But never quite enough now (NOT) to pay the rent You could have had it all but the pity As everything you're gonna need is heaven sent
Maybe the dream that we had is gone The people 'round here are like a setting sun They're digging you up when they're knocking you down But they can't stop ME from loving you
shit!!!!:
1 Be my butterfly, but please don't forget it by 2 Do you wanna wanna fly or dig off lullaby? ) 3 I didn't buy a butterfly and please don't ) 4 I did not bother fly and breezed off a lullaby) Will do the damage kid
Again:
1 If love's what it's all about it's so like a juggernaut 2 This love is not a song about sole handed traveler 3 The fellas wrote a song about the soul of a traveler Will do the damage kid
Like a stone I was falling Will anybody come and get me out of here? I waited in the rain for the calling Will anybody come and get me out of here?
Maybe the dream that we had is gone The people 'round here are like a setting sun They're digging you up when they're knocking you down But they can't stop me from loving you

No matter how many times I listen to this song the chorus remains incomprehensible. Blows my mind that no one said "hey Noel, might want to enunciate better there."

I believe the chorus is:
Be my butterfly, and please don't flutter by And do the damage kid If love's what it's all about, it's all like a junky now Will do the damage, kid

"Never quite enough not to pay the rent"
That doesn't even make sense.

I was at a party last night where everyone was playing basically popular music you hear on the radio, and I decided to stick on Do the Damage. I'm not lying when I tell you it got everyone going and dancing like fools haha, this one girl even said, "What is this?! I feel like I'm in a James Bond movie right now!" Haha so I guess it went over well

"Never quite enough not to pay the rent" That doesn't even make sense. This is social commentary on London house prices where even bankers rent and only successful rock stars can afford to buy.

I'm pretty sure Freaky Teeth was written as a bond theme. It has the similar progression like many of the actual bond themes. Do The Damage doesn't really have that.

DTD doesn't sound like a Bond theme to me, to be honest. Freaky Teeth is very bond-like

The dancing I do while it's playing is definitely more Austin Powers than Bond to be fair.

Jesus Christ, had to register again 'cause I forgot my password. Whatever. Here's my guess: Be my butterfly, please.......let it by You do the damage kid The flowers wrote a song about a soul liking choking up ( )" You do the damage kid Doesn't make much sense, huh ? And btw, hello everyone !

Noob question:
Not even english people can fully understand what he sings? When i hear a song on my language I can easily write the lyrics 5 seconds after. I speak a good (I hope) english 'cause my mother was born in London, but it's still difficult for me cathing all the words.
IMHO: Do you want a butterfly The deal's don't let it by You do the damage kid If love's what it's all about It's soul I can show you now You do the damage kid
