Calling it right now, he'll be absolutely fine. He's Liam fucking Gallagher after all.

Relaxation, time with his girlfriend, time with his friends, being a millionaire, doing whatever he feels like doing - what bloody dark years these will be.

Mind you, being divorced and away your children would be pretty tough no matter how rich you are.

Absense will make UK fans heart grow fonder .and AMERICA lves a comeback story , even liam ...people forget AEROSMITH were thrown to the trash beep for years , there bigger than ever .not saying liam can do that in usa ....but he can stay away , reinvent maybe age makes him softer in USA eyes and he is rooted for .....

Spot on kalas, he needs to do a completely fresh start. Beady Eye never really took off anywhere, but there's a reason people loved/still love him. Let him lay low for a few years, work with a few great artists (he does have his friends and contacts in the industry), then come out with a new LP when it's actually ready.

With Liam gone, hopefully people (with taste) will miss him and notice how music in general has taken a nosedive recently.
You know what they say, 'you don't know what you've got, till its gone!'

Like he always wanted to be Lennon, now he suddenly is in the perfect moment to make it happen in his own way and style and time. I'm sure he somehow enjoys the situation now too. As much as he wanted to be loyal to Andy and Gem, through this couple of years, he really has more opportunities without them. He's FREE. Remember ? I'm seriously more excited for this situation than new Beady Eye album coming. It's all still open, i always believed Liam still didn't say his last word and now it looks like something really interesting can happen. I'm sure he won't let Noel bored us to death with his High Flying Birds. As fans we should be looking forward to whatever is new and not that much safe cause usually good things come up from this in rock n roll.. And honestly, right now when we're worrying about his "dark years" he's probably hanging out with The Who or something. He'll be fine.

I predict that Liam will spend the immediate future being drunk, stoned, and oversexed--as usual.

I dunno--if it was all that tough for Liam, maybe he wouldn't do it so often.

I don't know, we know Chasing The Sun was about money. Liam will do guest spots and possible his clothing line will keep him busy, but impossible to think a solo album. Liam leaned on Gem with help on songwriting and compose the songs. I don't think others can do the magic of Gem with Liam. If he wants a job, Velvet Revolver is always looking for a frontman replacement for ages now.

Isn't Velvet Revolver Slash's band? If so, the Slash is well-accustomed to lead singers with bad behavior.

I think we'll be seeing more new Pretty Green shops than solo albums.

Listening to the very early Beady Eye stuff casino de Paris etc and it just goes to show that if LG commits to it, he can be the best singer out there. For those saying he'll destroy Oasis' legacy that is just absolute nonsense.

I'm thinking he'll take a couple of years off, maybe appear on some vocal tracks on random guestspots on different albums. Maybe a proper album in about 4/5 years?

Only difference between Lennon & Liam though is Lennon wrote some of the greatest songs of all time. Liam wrote one song that charted in the UK. I'm all for a Liam solo record but he is going to need some co writers for it.

Thinking maybe he's got some leftovers as good as those, with a bit of work and some new tracks he could release a strong 10 track record. But he would need a couple of huge tunes. That i dont know if he's capable of. Strong album tracks yes, memorable singles, he's got to prove that

Mikes Kane certainly has no issues taking assistance from Turner or Weller. Liam needs a guy like what Robbie Willinhad going on 10-15 years ago. More rocky pop songs though over Robbie's pop star tunes. Think Black Keys stuff.

He has lots of good ideas but always somehow falls short. He needs a co-writer.
