He calls Donovan "The Mighty I" in his tour diary. Think the title is a reference to him?
Never thought he'd write anything in reference to his kids. He has said in the past that he goes out of his way to keep songs from being too personal. That he changes lyrics of he thinks they reveal to much about him.

Yeah but he hasn't posted yet. Well, last time I checked. Or it's private. Or both.

Legged it double early the next a.m. back to LA. Iree Nancy, the Mighty I and Bunny Dread are on holiday there see? Had a nice day off at the funfair yesterday. I won a Smurf (not a real one) for the Mighty I by smashing fuck out of some frogs on the head with a mallet (again not real one's).

Maybe it'll be a banging acid house toon given how much Donovan likes it...

He did for the 2011-2012 tour. Presumably he will again for this tour. He seems to like it.

Can anyone make out the possible lines for the song from the lyrics sheet on the website? We only see bits and pieces of it.

In my head I picture Bringing It All Back Home/Highway 61 Revisited type of ballads. Johnny Marr can play the role of Mr. Jones.

It would be great if he pushed his lyrics a bit rather than the same soul shine sky type lyrics. They have their place, but I'm really looking forward to a lyrical change of direction.

I am going to guess that the first line is 'I follow you to the end/edge of the world' based on the clues we have above

just found this from a year ago,the track was recorded during th AA sessions and called "the mighty i" according to one of the engineers who was present Post Options . Post by mossy on Nov 13, 2013 at 8:50pm OK, reading his tweets in more detail, here's proof the pic is from Noel's album sessions: @je_suisNatalie What happened to the Noel & Amorphous Androgynous album? That is what I want to know. @grantyh @je_suisnatalie he shelved it. I was one of the recording engineers on the album. Amazing songs, real shame. Mighty I is a killer Read more: live4ever.proboards.com/thread/77946/aa-album-recording-studio#ixzz3HHH8gKTY

'Amazing songs, real shame'? So Noel thinks it's rubbish, yet AA think its great. Also, Mighty I - a title of a song perhaps? I feel we will get to hear the AA sessions, but not before all songs are released in a conventional form maybe. What I said a year ago! Seems to be spot on - Noel said in an interview that a few of the songs have been reworked from the AA sessions - it's a great idea. It will hopefully bridge the gap well between those fans who love the conventional aspect of his songs and those who want a bit more experimentation.
