The death of you and me is miles and miles better imo. I think the main reason people are voting ITHOTM atm is because its so new. Just like most of us gave BE a 9/10 when it was released  That goes both ways though. TDOYAM got a good but somewhat lukewarm response despite being Noel's first ever solo song, now most people agree it's awesome. I, for one, didn't join the BE hype and still think of it what I thought when I first heard it - that it's a solid 7/10 album, but definitely worse than HFB. |

When TDOYAM came out, I did like it but thought it was a little too close to TIOBI. But once Noel played his acoustic versions of it on the radio, I was won over and I really like it - the acoustic version mostly.
ITHOTM is good and all, I don't mind Noel going dance-influenced but I always kind of assumed it would be more like Hacienda house influenced music than "music for the masses" as someone put it.
Its not a bad thing, mind you, that he's trying to reach a broader audience. I'm just bracing for the irritating bandwagon fans who claim to just love Oasis but...well, you know. It's just somethign that really annoys me, bandwagon fans.

I to this day say that Maroon 5's songs About Jane is a fucking fantastic album, great musicianship in there. The rest? I'll give them a miss.
I like more the intro of Moment more but as a song I love more Death of You and Me as a fully fleshed song.

The Death of You and Me is a good song, but a horrible first single. In the Heat of the Moment is also a good song, but also a radio friendly song. Faster tempo. Personally I love it. I thought What a life was the best song off the last album and this song is in the same dancy type of genre

TDOYAM is the best song on HFB and the best song Noel has penned since 'Idle' - it's brilliant, love everything about it, even the production, it was one of the only songs on that album that didn't suffer from Sardy's smothering production.... ITHOTM is What A Life! Part 2 and I was never a big fan if that but it is slightly better than it IMO.

i still love The Death Of You And Me but i also like the more spontaneous approach of In The Heat Of The Moment. I love the fact that there's a lot going on in the one song

TDOYAM is brilliant, and more of a 'Noel' type song for me.
I just really hope The Dying of the Light hasn't been overproduced and ruined, works so well as a light acoustic song
