Does anyone has postcode for UK? What I do is look up some famous institution in the UK (like a museum website) and then just use their postcode (er, sorry to the webmaster if I'm breaking rules here. I'll delete this if this constitutes some kind of breach in forum rules). I found it here www.doogal.co.uk/PostcodeGenerator.phpBut where is Noel?

Wow, it ACTUALLY sounds modern! Was really worried we'd get some dad rock. Really good beat and groove to it. I wish latter Oasis were like this.
Seems like producing it himself has worked wonders - really like the clear cut sound to it, and not the murkiness of Sardy.
Noel, all by himself, is beginning to drag himself out of his 1960s stupor. For the first time at 47 years old.
But a really really encouraging sign for the new album.

It's actually vibrant. Sardy would have sucked the life out of it.

Bland production. Can't believe he produced the album himself. Explain to me exactly how the production is bland? I think it sounds different and actually quite brilliantly produced. It's got a great hook and the distorted effect on his voice suits the song. Boring comment, with zero backing

All I can say , is a lot here are saying after a third listen it's a grower , to me THATS not good , up until doys. I never had to listen to a Oasis. Tune twice to love it , including SOTSOG and I loved BHN. If u need more than 1 listen ...imo. Mind you your trying to hear something you did not at first listen ...the magic of rock , the making of a great tune , you hear once your hooked .....most seem to need more listens. If it wasn't noel most would probably not give it a third listen ....why I believe when this hype ends. The objective listener will be dissapointed ,.,sorry. My opinion. I never had to listen to a song twice let alone 3 times to like ...sounds like people are WANTING TO LIKE ..not all but certainly many .,,me I heard it once. DONT need twice its ..EH. BUT ILL BUY IT CAUSE ITS GALLAGHER RELATED I think there is different type of like it at the 3rd time and like it at the 3rd time. I know what you mean, and its really great to get hooked by a song imidiately, like I was with for example, "Lyla", but I had to listen to Dig out your soul a few times, before I discovered the beauty of the songs. And my intention was not that I have to like Gallagher songs, because they are just people and make mistakes. I tried "Be here now" really really often and the coin never dropped for me. but "dig out your soul" feels now like the girl you had found interesting at the first sight and then your heart made a big bounce and you knew it was love. I agree Ithat makes sense ....I guess being noel. Or liam. I judge harder. , I shouldn't need a third listen , but I get what you mean. Good point

Shit, I've followed this forum since '04 and this is the first time I've had something to say. And it's this: The first time I listened to this song I nearly teared up toward the end. For me, this is something fantastic, something a lot of us have been waiting and hoping for. This song grabs my soul and makes me want to share it with anyone who will listen. Fucking Eh Noel, fuckin' eh.

I'm fuckin digging it. Classic Noel but with a new twist. Not reinventing the wheel, just upgrading it. Loving the production already, sounds unique but familiar at the same time. Nanananana brilliant this is great. Nice drums. No guitar solo, oh well.
Shame that its not being released till next month but I'm not too fussed, I only plan on picking up the vinyl for collection purposes. Not at all assed about how it performs in the charts, as long as I have it I don't give a fuck.

I see what you're saying, but I at the same time I think it's one of those songs that some people might not get into right away, but there's just something that hooks them in (like maybe the chorus). And then makes them want to go check out that song on the Internet. I've had that happen to me lots of time before--didn't necessarily become a fan of a song right away, but heard something in it that made me go, 'Who sings that song?' and then I'd look it up and give it a listen. If the song's a grower, it might actually have more staying power. Which I would prefer than just a one-hit sort of thing that later gives way to the next radio-friendly song by some other artist. Mind you, I actually liked this song pretty much immediately when they played it during the Facebook session. I hear YA. But disagree. If it wasn't noel most wouldn't listen twice if they didn't like at first listen , look how many are needing 3 4 5 listens ?? I'm not saying that's bad , im saying I never had to listen 3 4 5 times for any oasis tune TIL doys. To me a song grabs you by throat , that's when it's great. When you need the most fanatical fans of a guy need 3 4 5 listens. , to me not good. That's all I do understand you. I think there's some on here who see it as a grower, but it seems (just from quickly looking through some comments) that there's also an equal number who think it's brilliant. So I think it's probably split between "instantly loving" and "grower." Which I sort of expect for the general public too. I can't remember what opinions were like for the first HFB, but I feel like this song will actually do better than some of the songs on that one. I think the fact it's "Noel" will cause enough people to go check it out even if they're not huge fans. And the listening public can be pretty fickle, so even if a song is loved by the hardcore fans, it'd be hard to gauge the reaction of the broader public. I think this song successfully appeals to the fan, and will also draw in people who don't consider themselves Oasis or Noel fans, which is what Noel would need if he is ever to get that global #1.

Looks really useful. Noel is currently in London, but I think any postcode in the UK will be able to get you access to the UK radio stations, so you can listen live.

Weird... NG doing "disco" songs ^^ Good verses, correct chorus but those "Na na na na na" and the bells are awful!
I think this one will sound better live.

4th time in a row listening to it its top. Not gonna compare it to any other songs, I'd rather focus on how fresh it sounds. And I'm sure it won't be the best song on the album.

Am I the only one that actually liked it after the first listen? I was a bit worried by the snippet but when he blasted out the last choruses on my first full run through I enjoyed it. I reckon if he replaced the Nah, Nah, Nahs with Dave Sitek horns it would sound absolutely mega.

I think it'll be a grower for me, but my first impression is that it sounds like if you combined Everybody's On The Run with AKA What a Life!
