store.noelgallagher.com"Chasing Yesterday Deluxe CD with Exclusive Limited Edition Lyric Sheet €19.99 Chasing Yesterday is the brand new album from Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and follows the hugely successful debut released in 2011. "
Well, at least they know how to brag.

"It’s a shame how memory fades to grey We let love get lost in anger chasing yesterday" Is that the actual verse? That sounds much better than the extracts posted before.

He's not the only one though. Florence and The Machine announced a new album for June about a week ago.

Not sure if this has been mentioned here, but here's a link mentioning the Japanese bonus track for the album: www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/SICP-4395"Leave My Guitar Alone"...does that lyric ring a bell with anyone from the unreleased stuff that's been circulating?

I'm not the only one that realizes that Champagne Supernova's lyrics are bizarre right?
"Slowly walking down the hall, faster than a cannonball"
"Cause people believe that we're gonna get away for the summer"

I translated Japan edition's Extra book, which is translated lyrics in Japanese and explanatory note for the album, and I didn't translate some episodes we have already known. My English is poor quality, sorry.
Noel "This album is so british, felt british spirit, has more sharp, meanwhile my first solo album was polished american sound."
The album had been recorded from January 2014 to July 2014 in London.
Noel "I thought that I share musical relationship with someone was better than to do by myself, or rather I took it for granted. This time I tried to produce that by myself. it's so easy, and I was not even overwhelmed. I think I am a lucky guy, so my job is the easiest thing I can do. To me, songwriting is easy, to record for a album is easy. I'm useless except that. If I am asked to cook a omelet, I cannot cook it at all. you should give up on it. Even if I cook it, my house will fire, but to make for a album is easy."
Noel was writing about 20-30 songs before recording for the album, and then he had enjoyed recording chemistry. Riverman and The Right Stuff were written during the recording session. Originally Riverman as country-music was played by fingerpicking. Recording for Lock All the Doors had been finished up for 2 weeks. Eventually Noel realized the drum sound was bad, and then the drum was re-recorded, and It's alright.
Noel "The Right Stuff was recorded at the end of recording for it. I thought it's fucking amazing, so the song has got all things I've done, that are rock 'n' roll, pop music, dance music, psychedelic jazz and emotional music. That's one of my best song."
Album title, Chasing Yesterday, was selected from While The Song Remains The Same.
Noel "It became the album title, probably you would think it means longing for something or to dream of good old glory days. However it's the other way around. It means "Stop to chase old days (Don't chase old days)". The past is already gone, so we/you/I should stop to want to chase old days. I'm singing about it in the song. ...Well, I didn't think thing like that until when it became the album title."
thank you.

Townsend Music usually ships the Friday before release date, so hopefully they'll ship the albums tomorrow.

I love how Noel is always talking bullshit about how much he dislikes jazz and then goes and plays a track by fucking Archie Shepp (not the kind of jazz your mother listens to) for his sax player. Seriously, Noel can make me cringe sometimes when he puts on his Luddite costume for interviews. No wonder part of his audience behaves like it does. I can barely watch the DM DVD these days because of that attitude.

He says jazz is boring and s**t 3 years ago then puts sax solos in Riverman and the Right Stuff. Right Stuff sounds like it is literally straight out of a jazz club. Then he went to say that Black Skinhead off of Yeezus sounds f*cking great ...THE HECK NOEL? (Granted he said this stuff 2-3 years ago)

Also I don't think people should take interviews as gospel from noel. I think he plays with the press depending on his mood and who is asking the questions, the content of the questions etc etc. The Ed Sheeran thing recently also explains that certain comments can be published out of context etc, often we only get Noel's comments/answers in interviews without the actual question/context put to him being published. Pinch of salt

What a load of bullshit.
We have plenty of bands to listen, if i want to listen to some "artistic" music. I don't want that from you Noel. You've said it yourself in many interviews that you're limited as a songwriter. That's a contradiction right there. In all the CY, you have one experimental track (playing sax in one track doesn't necessarily make you more experimental) and you think you're some kind of indie experimental artist? Get a grip.
I want an Oasis reunion because both you're best when you are together. Oasis was the rock n roll tunes (Liam) and rock ballads (Noel) blend together.
Fuck you Noel

Bullshit.

Depends what kinda of reunion.
If there was a record with only Noel's songs, and this time 100% completed and not half finished (hey, DOYS), then yes
If it's for a couple of festival and a best of setlist. No thanx

I couldn't disagree more with the last three posts. I see Noel's point in the interview: there's no denying his new freedom is opening the door to a lot of great music, unlike the last 10 years of Oasis. There's nothing any of the previous members can bring to the table that would improve the music. Hence Noel's mention of artistic reasons.
Surely Noel hasn't gone all avant-garde on us, but listen to the last three Oasis records and then listen to Chasing Yesterday again. There's a tiny bit of progression there, and his point is that, most likely, it wouldn't have been possible with other people around.
Oh, and move on for once, for fuck's sake. I'm tired of reading stuff like "if I want artistic music, I'll listen to other bands". Noel has always been more of a sensitive artist with attention to detail that he dared to admit (because of the nature of a large chunk of his audience). It's just that he's starting to embrace it now. It's not that he's changing dramatically, he's kind of coming out of the closet as the musician he's always been.
