I always associate him with the ambient guitar sounds in Radiohead, so hearing that he wants to make something rhythmic was a surprise. I'm curious as hell, though, I really hope it's a solid release. |

This Ok Computer sessions leak is totally bonkers. Obviously 18 hours is a ton to comb through, thankfully these fine folks made a working document of everything on the minidiscs. docs.google.com/document/d/1kA8u6UhjbutZ-b7TXzmX4qkOTg6nGC1vPg50WwCcZyo/preview#So far my thoughts and highlights with so many hours to go of listening. - Exit Music and Life of a Glasshouse use to be the same song! - There is an 11 min Paranoid Android outtake. - An incredible full band performance of True Love Waits featuring the spooky keyboards from the Luna Theater in Belgium back gig in 1995. - There are a bunch of Lifts that are a lot more rocking and alternative rock than the one featured on the Ok Computer reissue. Some with loud guitars others with more keyboards. - A really cool unknown acoustic song that is nearly 9 min long. Reminded me of Lennon's "Serve Yourself". - There are a bunch of Motion Picture Soundtracks including a spacey version. - Loads and loads of cool jamming tracks and instrumentals. Many of them morphing into True Love Waits. I'm still plowing through, its very overwhelming. I can't wait for the Kid A reissue. That is the treasure trove we were promised. They recorded almost 3 albums worth of material and we only ever heard a fraction of it. So much of it remains in the dark. I hope this massive leak doesn't stop or hamper those eventual plans. |

There are some fantastic jams that start suddenly and stop suddenly but are 5-7 min in lengthy. I’d keep those. Like on disc 5 and 7. Some really cool stuff. I thought that bonus cassette they did of outtakes was phenomenal, who knew they had even weirder material buried. Why not toss some of those in the original Ok Computer anniversary reissue? Oh well. It all got out. Can’t wait for Kid A reissue. Next year. |

Things are heating up on the Thom solo front. Strange fake company ads have been spotted. If you are American and call this number 917 970-7745 you get a voicemail prompt and actual background music from a song played all last tour called Not The News. Monday should be a glorious day.

Honest opinion: I ALWAYS buy music, but 18 hours seems like too much to digest here. Should I wait until heroes like you carve it up or should I just buy the sucker and dive in for days? |

Now if you call the number the guy leaving the voicemail prompt has changed from robot like to a distorted Thom voice. Plus artwork from his live shows have popped up in NYC, London, Europe and Brazil. Shit is heating up! Hopefully thurs or fri. Definitely by Monday.
