Thom Yorke's solo stuff always mixes in there for me, have to give A Moon Shaped Pool another spin. No I heard a few quite a few voices shout for Creep, and the biggest cheers of the night went for anything from The Bends or OK Computer, but you always get that when you have non die hard fans. The album I've been going back to lately has been Kid A, fantastic album. Still blows my mind they followed up OK Computer with Kid A Yes and it was absolutely brilliant times. That whole build up around 1999 leading into Kid A was amazing. Ed's online diary, rumors of weird songs being played at warm up gigs and then Kid A comes out, its nothing like their masterpiece Ok Computer, immediately alienates fans worldwide and of course Kid A is brilliant as well. First time I saw them too was during that tour, in a large tent in a middle of a field in Kildare, freezing and miserable too. They pretty much played most of Kid A, also played Pyramid Song but was under a different title. Definitely those Kid A songs didn't go down to well with many. Wasn't Kid A their first number 1 American album too, think they won a Grammy award to for it, Ed O' Brien told a funny story about a few members of the band been off their heads on acid during the Grammies lol. Love Amnesiac, think it's their most underrated work. Feels like the red headed step child of Radioheads canon. My favourite song of theirs is on that album Knives out, love that song.

Fog and Orgy should have been on Amnesiac, but it's still amazing as it is.

Caught up with the Glasto gig on iPlayer. Absolutely fantastic it was.
But what they really ought to do is this - play the Royal Albert Hall with an orchestra (arrangements by Jonny Greenwood of course) and play the entire A Moon Shaped Pool. It's an album that deserves the very best live treatment, and that would be my dream right there.

Throw the kitchen sink at it - and talk about raising the profile of one of their very very best albums in my opinion. Echo & The Bunnymen did it for Ocean Rain with great success. Radiohead are a great act live, this would be plain sailing for them.

That would be a terrific idea but sadly after the two Israel shows and that Thom/Jonny charity show in italy, the band are going there own ways for awhile. - Thom doing a film score and more solo stuff - Jonny working on 2 film scores - Ed releasing his solo album

I know that A Moon Shaped Pool isn't going to be their last album, but it seems that they're going to take a while before the next one is released. Quite honestly, I wouldn't mind if A Moon Shaped Pool is their last album - I'm a great believer in bands leaving on a high and for me that's the one Radiohead album that really struck a chord emotionally the first time I listened to it. I wholeheartedly believe it is their best since Kid A.

Thom said they can feel the energy and want to record all in the same room for the next LP. It'll prob be 4-6 years. When they are ready they are ready. Loads of music from Thom, Atoms for Peace and Jonny.

I'm seeing them in Manchester tonight. What time can I expect them on stage? They came on at 8, and they were fucking great. My highlight (just as with their Glasto set) was Nude. Thom Yorke was absolutely pitch perfect, and it was stunning to witness. I also enjoyed No Surprises. When they got to the line, "bring down the government - they don't speak for us", a huge cheer erupted from down the front where we were. The "Oh! Je-re-my Corrrr-byn!" chant started up once the tune had ended, and Thom played a bit of the Seven Nations Army riff to accompany those who were singing. From what little I know about Radiohead's live shows, I'm guessing I Promise and The Bends were the 'rarely played' tunes I was lucky to hear. I was certainly chuffed to hear the latter, and perhaps Thom was aware of this, for he introduced it as "a special treat". Nice one, bud! Wouldn't've minded a few more Moon Shaped Pool tunes though... One of the ones they did play, Identikit, I thought sounded absolutely brilliant. They again ended on Karma Police, which lead to five minutes of "FOR a minute there, I LOST MYSELF...I LOST MYSELF!!" reverberating around the stadium after they'd vacated the stage and as we were all filing out. One more thing: that other guitarist (Ed?)...he's cool as fuck, in't he?

Only 2 more dates and a charity gig with thom and Jonny before the AMSP era is officially over. Ed also had a solo album coming out later this year. No more info is known on it.

Maybe they'll mix some of Ed's solo stuff into the setlist?
