1. Daydreaming is the perfect morning song. 2. Decks Dark > Nude Daydreaming is like walking around in a lullaby nightmare in Thom's mind.

You should listen to a bit of Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds if you haven't already... I think you'd dig... Plylst me bby Oof! I would that I could... The geezer's been making records so long (since the mid-80s with the Bad Seeds - but before that with a different band) and I only got into him a couple of months back, so I'm afraid I wouldn't able to do one justice at present. To give you an overview though: He's a post-punk icon known for his very literate lyrics (often on the subjects of death, religion and violence), deep baritone croon and emotional intensity. His (and the Bad Seeds') most accessible album is probably The Boatman's Call, but I think the most fun to get you going is his double album (actually two separate albums joined together) Abattoir Blues/The Lyre of Orpheus. And, not to be rude, I'll link you in to the song I immediately thought of when I heard Decks Dark for the first time: Oh, and... ...from when the two bumped into one another in New York a few years back.

This album is still holding up better than a fruit cake! It's passed the test of longevity no doubt. The first Radiohead album I instantly 'got' since I bought The Bends five years ago (first Radiohead album I ever got) - it was a worry then that, like bubblegum, the great taste would wear off pretty thin. It hasn't, and if anything, has only got stronger since my initial impressions.

Intentional? Remarkable if it is considering the flow - strange if not!

Thom just thought "Yeah, that album flow is great. Now, put names on your songs and put them in alphabetical order and everyone will say again "wow, what a genius ! What a class !""

Exactly, it's clear some songs were named to fit the alphabetical flow - The Numbers used to be called Silent Spring, for instance. Stll prtty cool tho ~ thm
