So every album bar Pablo, had a song on the set? Interesting. Looking foward on how TLW is going to be played. Saw a video of Daydreaming and it sounded empty without the orchestra bits, Burn The Witch is wicked mad with Jonny and his bow.

It's amazing how the audience chatting makes the start of the numbers sound exactly like the album version

OK Computer was released 19 years ago today! Unfortunately, still every bit as relevant as it was in 1997.

The second half of The Present Tense is probably the most sweetly romantic thing Radiohead have ever done. It's almost prom-dance worthy.
Btw, already got an improved tracklist for AMSP:
1. Burn the Witch 2. Daydreaming 3. Decks Dark 4. Desert Island Disk 5. Ful Stop 6. Glass Eyes 7. Identikit 8. The Numbers 9. The Present Tense 10. Spectre 11. True Love Waits
If we get Cut a Hole as one of the bonus tracks, that might replace Desert Island Disk.

Album gets better and better the more I hear it. Still wish there were some more bass and drums on it though. Don't think it'll ever crack my top four but it could easily be fifth.

If Radiohead had a "Masterplan" style b-sides compilation, what would be on it? Let's limit it to 14 tracks and no bonus tracks/non album singles. B-sides only. 1. Trickster 2. Lewis (Mistreated) 3. Permanent Midnight 4. Maquiladora 5. How Can You Be Sure 6. Killer Cars 7. Talk Show Host 8. Meeting In The Isle 9. Lull 10. Palo Alto 11. Pearly 12. Cuttooth 13. Fog 14. Gagging OrderVery very hard to do. Had to leave off several awesome tunes: Punchdrunk Lovesick Singalong, Polyethylene, A Reminder, The Amazing Sounds Of Orgy.

That song has an attitude and major personality. Can't wait to hear it live. I doubt very very much it will be a bonus track. You can see from the picture on the their website of the deluxe version of A Moon Shaped Pool that the bonus CD features "Spectre" and another "N Wind". Also, 2 tracks for the bonus CD? Gimme a break. What a waste of space. Just make it a digital download. Radiohead is so concerned about their carbon footprint, why waste an entire CD on only 2 songs? Strange shit.

This song is going to be a classic. I'm calling it now. So many amazing OK Computer vibes in this song pretty much make it the best on the album for me.

hm, i still dont know what to do with AMSP. i love Radiohead, imo is the best band ever. people and critics love their new album (I lie it too), but is that really a great Radiohead album? A radiohead classic?
imo its a great album, a great 2016 release, but not a really great radiohead album, not a classic. its definitely a piece of art, full of ideas, imagination, feelings, so many feelings, a production gem but somehow it reminds me of a woman, with a beautiful dress, haircut n make up...but when she's naked, most of her beauty is gone... That's how i feel about AMSP. When you think of it naked, without all the studio tricks of these great musicians, most of its beauty is gone..."In rainbows" on the other hand was a real gem, a classic, with all its production tricks it also had the balls, the tunes, even had a b' disc with songs on a higher level than most of AMSP! Dont get me wrong, AMSP s gonna have a high place in the end of my year list, but in my radiohead list its in the same level with HTTT (without the highlights of HTTT) n better than PH and KOTL.
"Spectre" is a huge loss , should have a place in the album. a genious moment, a highlight. "True love waits" is a huge dissapointment, much worse than the acoustic number i love, sad they v lost it in translation. sometimes tricks and production destroy a great tune, a simple beautiful melody (sometimes not, see "Nude").
funny to say it , but when i think of a great album from a great band, "Night Thoughts" by Suede comes in my mind. No tricks, a band in the studio, playing their instruments, songs, real songs and melodies, music that has no need of an expensive dress, clever haircut or make up....Its naked beauty put it up with albums such as "Dog Man Star" or "In Rainbows"...If only Suede had the same hype and followers (including hipsters)...

It's not a classic album but it's an excellent one for 2016. I've heard better albums this year but for a band that I thought had lost it, and where I thought Yorke had become firmly entrenched up his own arse, it's most definitely a return to form.

I mean, a few of those are acoustic on the album and they work brilliantly. matt , what will be your thoughts if (and almost certainly when) Thom releases another electronic solo album? Do you think you'll find it more palatable after a more acoustic based Radiohead album?

A song like "Spectre" was never going to be on the new LP. Just not their style. It was written for Bond so they wouldn't then jam a rejected song onto their new album. Feels like a one off to me and a brilliant one of that. I think the simplistic take on "True Love Waits" was the right direction to take. I imagine the OK Computer and Kid A versions to be heavily produced. The song is too primal for that. I love the nature vocal take. You can feel the pain and emotion. Has a Plastic Ono Band vibe to it. Just keeping it real.

I think, fair play they gave me what I wanted, they can do anything they want now!
