A few weeks ago, being the audio addicted perfectionist I can be, I moreso saw that HTTT not only should've been 10 songs, but abit shorter. 01 There There (4:44 edit) 02 The Gloaming 03 2 + 2 = 5 04 Sit Down Stand Up (3:44 edit) 05 Backdrifts (3:26 edit) 06 A Punchup at A Wedding 07 I Will (B-side version) 08 Go To Sleep 09 Myxomatosis 10 A Wolf At the Door Also removed the brickwall with some declipping software, and found this to be my preferred listening method of HTTT, running at a 36:40 runtime. I would think my edits were alright, so here they are: There ThereSit Down Stand UpBackdrifts

Impossible for me to choose a favourite album from Radiohead. Personally, I've never got the 'Kid A is greatest' thing. Don't get me wrong, I love it, but I'd choose any other album of theirs over it to listen to. OK Computer remains at the top for me. Kid A is electronic perfection, but for me, that's where it comfortably sits, just that. Can't really place it above the monster that is OK Computer. OK Computer In Rainbows Kid A The Bends Amnesiac HTTT TKOL Pablo Honey I did listen to TKOL several days ago in full and really enjoyed it. Morning Mr. Magpie is the most freakish song they've done since Climbing Up the Walls. Codex is beautiful.

Hail to the Thief is ace, and perhaps their most accessible album. It's a great combination of their 90's rock style with their more experimental 00's sound with a very raw, stripped-back, and immediate feel.
I like the sequence how it is, though it does drag on a bit (but in a good, White Album way!). Personally, I'd take out Backdrifts and We Suck Young Blood, the first being one of my favorites but Thom probably should've saved it for The Eraser, and the second one, while good, is the weakest on the album.
My favorite alternative playlist for HTTT is this one that Thom himself posted on Dead Air Space. Works pretty well imo!
1. There There 2. The Gloaming 3. Sail to the Moon 4. Sit Down. Stand Up. 5. Go to Sleep 6. Where I End and You Begin 7. Scatterbrain 8. 2 + 2 = 5 9. Myxomatosis 10. A Wolf at the Door
Also the HTTT b-sides are by far the worst of any era. Even the Pablo Honey b-sides foreshadowed the greater depth of The Bends. All of them are nice, though, but they're throwaways and Radiohead is rarely so forgettable.

Its the only version i listen to. Codex and Giving Up The Ghost in particular are amazing and make wish I discovered them earlier.

r/radiohead has gotta be one of the wackiest forums I've ever seen. Seriously. Once I saw a thread that linked to by far the weirdest (slash) fanfiction I've ever seen for anything, involving Thom, Jonny, Michael Stipe, and cheesecake. And I thought L4E was crazy!

Mortigi Tempo isn't as bad right? ? Mortigi Tempo has some immature assholes. A bunch of people started childishly insulting me because I said that we needed Harry Patch and These Are My Twisted Words in lossless. Bunch of twats. Though I'm sure not everybody's like that.

Christopher O'Riley, who has released two prominent Radiohead cover albums, has apparently said that Lift will be on Radiohead's upcoming album....
Hopefully not, though I'm interested in seeing how they've changed it.
EDIT: ignore this post, apparently O'Riley knows fuck all.

Let's see here, Radiohead start touring on May 20 and don't really settle down until October. I'm putting this forum on high alert. New album will be here before May 20. Buckle up.

Some have said that The Tourist is OKC's only misstep, too slow and anticlimactic for an album that revolves around constant action and commotion, but I strongly disagree. The fact that it is the only tranquil moment of the album makes it the perfect closer. It's almost as if it's trying to warn us not to go through life so quickly. And yes, it's fucking intense.

Have they? I've heard nothing but praise for the track - it's only ever been referred to as a perfect closer in my experience. It's one of the albums highlights - y'know, along with the other eleven - for me. I only truly appreciated it as being a masterpiece when I payed attention to the vocals. So, so beautiful. Perhaps the best Thom has ever done. If there is a misstep on Ok Computer (and there isn't), then it would be Electioneering. Btw, I only just found out today that in the chorus of that tune, when Thom sings "When I go forwards, you go backwards", Jonny plays the same riff forwards and then backwards. Still discovering amazing details.

Is there a misstep on OKC?
Yes there is, and my skip button works well with this song everytime.

I have several friends who are also Radiohead fans who have said that they feel that The Tourist is Radiohead's weakest closer, after Blow Out. Dunno why. In my opinion, the only closer that surpasses it is Motion Picture Soundtrack (probably my favorite closer ever, and there are a LOT of good ones!). P.S. Headmaster, just be glad that they didn't make Fitter Happier the opening track (as was originally planned).
