The timeline makes sense. We know they just formed a new label to release their new album. I say its out in the next 2-3 months. A proper blitz on random morning. Heavy touring in summer. God bless Radiohead.

Anyone else remember those crazy TKOL pt 2 rumors which was to feature all the new songs they played live? Miss those days.

www.openairsg.ch/en/They've just been announced for their first festival for this year, headlining Openair St. Gallen. I imagine they'll be announced for Primavera later this morning too. Still a but surprised this is all happening so soon but I'm not complaining!

That's them been announced for three festivals this morning, including as a headliner for Primavera in what is one of the best lineups I've seen for ages. They may as well just release the album this week what with all the hype over them...

Decided to get my feet wet wtih their material. I'm doing a run through of the Bends now. So apparently their debut sucks? I know about Creep but that's it and I thought it was ok. The guitar work on this album already is sonically amazing.

The guitar work on this album already is sonically amazing. There is plenty to enjoy on Pablo Honey. The trend for the last decade or so is to say "it sucks" or "only has Creep". To me that is not fair. I really enjoy these songs: - You - Creep - Thinking About You - I Can't - Blow Out

Yeah Pablo Honey isn't as terrible as some people make out but equally it's not that good either. Comfortably their worst album.

What songs would you like to see played on tour? Personally, I'd like to see Where I End and You Begin. The sinister rhythm of that tune practically begged for it to be regularly played on the TKOL tour, but it never got even one outing, wtf happened?

Such a gorgeous song, one of their very best I think. Did they play Myxomatosis on the last tour, seems like that would have fit well too. They played Myxy quite regularly last tour, such as this great performance. Kid A got quite a few outings too.

I thing Everything In its Right Place into National Anthem is a better transition.

You skip tracks on Kid A?!Seriously though that song is one of my all time favourites. The perfect hybrid of ambience, texture, melody and structure. Only one and it's the title track.

Just give me The Present Tense and Porous/Open The Floodgates and I'll be fine. There's rumours that even Lift might be in consideration again. I honestly can't think of any other band that has a back catalogue of unreleased songs like this, let alone a band that would actually be able to write songs as good as the aforementioned. And they might have even managed to compose one or two new songs after all...

Hmn. Nothing new on ASCAP as far as I can see. Having looked through Thom's stuff the latest tracks registered were Villain and Spectre which we already know about. Doesn't mean they aren't going to revisit old material that has already been registered though.
