To be released in this year or the first half of the next one. Other than that I don't feel entitled to expect a thing from NG anymore. That way the music will talk to me. Sorry if it sounds pretentious, but this is a way I experience music better than expecting something and getting a curveball and striking out. Always felt having Alex's droog Dim on drums was a bit odd Quoted the wrong person I'm talking about that drummer

1 Scorpio rising a song like this but better & weirder 2 something instinct and awesome like Supersonic but not like Shock of the lightning 3 who feels love a song like this but better that you can smoke a joint in the sun too and relax 4 dying of the light (hope it makes it rework the lyrics a tad and make it a bit atmosheric I'd love Johnny Marr on this one) 5 something heavier than he has ever done before. Something that could be 6-7 minutes and really transform w/ lots of instruments layered to hell by the end 6 gas panic a song like this but better.. eerie and atmospheric & takes off into a cool direction towards something like "bag it up" meets Pow. R Toc. H off pink Floyd's "piper at the gates of dawn" 7 something light and refreshing I imagine a waterfall but a tall skinny one with bongo drums also I kind of imagine "wots... uh the deal" by pink Floyd from obscured by clouds 8 let forever be something like this but better w/lots of horns and weird loops 9 what a life something like it but better & more fun something that could get played on the radio here in Canada so I can hear something descent on the radio 10 alone on a rope something like it but better I just love this song I think it's great but I want it's big sister song a bit cooler but I love the style which noel sings on AOTR 11 let it come down over me I would like this to close the album tie song 7 into it lyrically but this will be more introspective ender before 12 reprise of #5 bam I love reprise songs I don't even like "all around the world" I just like when albums leave on a boom. Give us 3 minutes of smashing Well, that would be the best album of all time.

Not related to the album I know but if he could refrain from playing 'Don't Look Back In Anger' completely at every non stadium or festival gig on the tour then I'd be a very happy chap. That's assuming there will be a tour... *strokes cat* Non. Just no. Don't ever say anything like that ever again.

It seems like everyone has a lot more confidence in Noels future solo records in comparison to when we would wait for new Oasis albums. I suppose new Oasis albums always suffered from being compared to DM and WTSMG and the fact that Noel shared the songwriting duties.

I expect not to end up thinking 'why the fuck didn't he put x on the album' as is tradition when it comes to the extra tracks being better than the album. Does my nut in every time that does. Some nice guitar work and only one or two songs that have his familiar chord structure and a better band playing with him. I liked the bassist, the drummer and guitarist were quite poor. The guitarist looked like he was wearing a terrible wig. Borrowing Gem and Chris would be cheeky but great.

Keep Russell Brand away from the promotion (did that stupid annoying voiceover for Dig Out Your Soul ad, and, for no reason whatsoever, popped up in the What A Life video)..... in fact, keep Russell Brand away from everything.

His last album was way over produced, but I'm a fan of Dave Sardy, I think he did an amazing job on DBTT. I hope this album is stripped right down.. Noel has a stalk of amazing acoustic demos, I would love it just straight acoustic, but realistically... keep it a raw sound with tight percussion, nothing too complicated with strings or choirs or electro-beats... Similar to the sound of "BE"...
All Noel is missing is Chris Sharrock on drums, and maybe Dave Sitek.

That album was recorded so many times and in so many different manners, a lot of the hard work was done before Dave joined the project. The two big singles (Lyla and TIOBI) basically had nothing to do with him. They were Noel demos from Wheeler End. When you consider that the album began as an electronic themed LP and ended up a 1966 Kinks record, I feel robbed.

A bit geeky, but I'd love to hear the songs produced better. Before I heard his first album, I never knew that I cared about production. I struggle to listen to the album anymore, however I can listen to the liv versions or demo's all day long. It just sounds so dull. Depending on what tone the album carries, I'd like it done in a way that translates it a bit better, if that makes sense.
Also, bit of a weird one and I'm 100% certain it won't happen, but it might be a cool digression... maybe (as a B-side!!) having him do a cover of an Oasis track or another tune. I've put on here before I'd love to hear him sing Coldplay or whatever, but imagine hearing him do something like an acoustic version of Champagne Supernova? Could be mega!
I will add before any of the arseholes comment... I know that this WILL NOT HAPPEN

I've always wanted to hear an acoustic Champagne Supernova. I don't care when or where.
The Oasis cover idea is a bit stupid though, no offence. How would that be a cover?

I've never thought it would work acoustic but that one The Pretty Reckless did on Radio 1 with Dear Prudence thrown in worked really well and would suit Noel quite nicely. I don't really like their music but it was a very listenable cover.

With Noel's old vocals I don't see how it could be that much better than the bootleg version we have of him doing it in Chicago.

It seems like everyone has a lot more confidence in Noels future solo records in comparison to when we would wait for new Oasis albums. I suppose new Oasis albums always suffered from being compared to DM and WTSMG and the fact that Noel shared the songwriting duties. Well there have been four album that featured Noel with complete songwriting duties: Definitely Maybe, What's the Story Morning Glory, Be Here Now, and High Flying Birds. That's a pretty good track record Actually, even if one includes the two albums where Noel is lacking only one songwriting credit: The Masterplan and Standing on the Should of Giants, that puts him at 5/6 for good to great releases. So, it is warranted.

Do you think he will mix songs from both albums into setlist ? That surely would mean less Oasis songs on concerts. I'd rather him play new album + Oasis, max 2,3 from HFB 1. I don't feel Dream On or If I Had A Gun are one of the must play songs of Noel's catalog.

A song he has never sung before. Maybe Hey Now. Something random like that. But, like I said.. it IS a daft idea and it WILL NOT happen. Just something I'd like to see. If I'm TOTALLY honest, I'd pay good money to hear him sing Songbird, but that's another story for another day.........

I believe in early interviews from last tour he said he would like to start out with a ton of Oasis songs just to fill out the set, but as he went on he'd like the number of Oasis tracks to be paired down as his new material comes in. So, I would assume that it will be a mix with less Oasis songs.

I honestly simply expect a good album, and if it's in the same vein as HFB1 I won't care as long as the quality of the songwriting stays the same too. For me, HFB was one of the best albums of the century thanks to the awesome tunes, so that's what I expect for the next one. Sure, it'd be great to change up the production style a little, slowly move away from the last few albums, but not a radical change - more like the change from HC to DBTT, or DBTT to DOYS. Oh, and of course they can get rid of shoddy production like the one on IIHAG without changing the sound.
