I´m begging for Noel or/and management do things a little more smart this time ( I mean, for the fans): common guys, there´s a lot of video footage from the Be Here Now era... Right Here Right Now documentary, TV performances, live gigs recorded... Please do something they way you wanted it to see from your favourite bands... The G-Mex concert in DVD format, to see finally a good version of it. REM collected all of their MTV performances and released them in DVD/Bluray format... 6 discs full of performances!!!!!!! Common guys... The demos... live performances not that obvious or different from the shows that had been around for years in good quality.... AHHHHHHH and please bring a proffessinal to work on the ¨remaster¨, because there´s not a lot of difference in the remasters of DM & MG... Be Here Now deserves a better work, since is the first album in which you really went a little far with your music... there´s a lot of details hidden behind the noisy final result... a great album, maybe their best, but it needs re-work on the sound... please don´t leav it to one of your friends, hire a pro... and Noel: let him do his work... you are not that good in changing things, DM & MG are the proofs... GMEX and Right Here Right Now? Honestly? That is stuff everyone could get online in pretty good quality. If there would be a DVD I want some behind the scenes videos, at the recording studios, on tour, press conferences, videos of them touring with U2, FFS there must be so much great footage. And if its GMEX then at least something from the night nobody has ever seen, or the Wembley Arena shows, Earls Court, or Japan, Germany, France,...Fuck bring out a DVD Set with a proper mix of the best performances and interviews and documentary and whatever. And instead of a pro i would hire a fan btw

And instead of a pro i would hire a fan btw I would love to see an official DVD, with better quality of the Right Here Right Now and G-Mex show. VHS sources will never beat a DVD sourced from the masters... I agree to have the Earls Court shows, or the german shows... even the Dublin show, wih Noel taking vocals... But please: regarding audio, I wish they release unreleased shows... and properly mixed. For example: for MG reissue, they included a few songs from the Roskilde show, but the mix was awful... even the old bootlegs from the show sound waaaayyyyy better than the official release... But, let´s be honest: Oasis is not well known for being so generous regarding video releases. They have a lot of stuff collecting dust somewhere, but I dont know if they are lazy, or cheap. Just check their ¨official¨ youtube channel: a lot of videos shared by their own fans, TV performances, gigs... Why the hell don´t they do what other bands do: just shared the best quality videos from certain performances once in a while? But no, they upload crappy videos that seems to be captured from a bootleg... I wish they release a lot of stuff, but G-Mex is a classic Oasis show, Liam at his best, the band on fire... Noel having fun playing his solos... the show deserves an official release...

The last thing Management got right was the 2004 DM DVD. The booklets for Time Flies and the Re-Masters were nice, too. Other than that, they've faffed right about.

Just listened to 'Be Here Now' (the song) and when Noel does that high pitched guitar squeal at 4:09...wow.
This album rocks.

You´re right with all you´re saying, maybe I´m just never was a big fan of the G-Mex show, plus I´m more into videos that are not around yet. But yeah, i guess there won´t be a DVD anyway with it. I mean why should there be one for the Album that Noel hates the most when there was no DVDs with the first 2 Boxsets. And yeah Oasis or whoever is in charge dont seem to have a lot in their archives, starting with asking fans for recordings for the DM DVD, ending with asking for footage for this new documentary, their Youtube Channel is just another sad proof.

Just listened to 'Be Here Now' (the song) and when Noel does that high pitched guitar squeal at 4:09...wow. This album rocks. That outro is one of my favourite Oasis moments. An ungodly amount of confidence on show from all involved. Twenty-odd year old Liam belting random shit out is, of course, fantasmagorical, but for me, it's Noel's guitar work on that track (well, the bits the production permits you to hear), that do it for me. I like to imagine him recording that, strutting around the studio like some pouting, pigeon-chested rockstar of old. Awesome.

I really NEED the full version of this Don't Go Away in my iTunes library:
And I imagine the only way I'm gonna get it is on disc 2 or 3 of a remastered rerelease of Be Here Now, so... COME ONNNNN!!
My hypothetical Be Here Now playlist is not bad - in fact, it's pretty ruddy good actually - but I can't fit DGA in its current form in anywhere. Coming after songs that end with electric guitar solos, that intro sounds even more obscene than before. I think they should have copied what the Beatles did with Revolution, and release the full on electric version as a single, and left the acoustic one for the album, to offset the other stuff on there.

The out of phase versions of the songs are pretty incredible, with DGA the acoustic guitar and orchestration is amazing. Same thing with Stand By Me, Noel really went overboard with the guitar layers on the finished songs. Having said that, I still love this album, it's their best work - I don't care how much Noel shits on it.

I've only just seen that Reddit AMA Noel did last year, he said the mustique tapes will definitely be on it? I'm late here but holy shitballs! Are we any closer to knowing when this is out?

Are we any closer to knowing when this is out? i think in that same statement he mentions itll be out in 2016...or it could be a different one, i cant remember. its why im not really worried yet about it not being released and dont subscribe to the idea its been scrapped. if this year goes by without anything, then i might start to get worried... if it doesnt get released and we dont get any of the mustique tapes, noel will be breaking the hearts of all his true fans.

given what i'v seen and watched over the years I would love to firstly know the set list for the gmex show first night was magic pie played ?
it's great this was also filmed as I would love to compare which night is better.
GMEX suffers from a poor sound mix which needs to be re edited from the original multi tracks to sound better. Earls court 3rd night is the best filmed gig of 1997 imo why they over dubbed new York audio is beyond me.
Off the top of my head pro shot gigs for 1997 are Stockholm 1997 Earls Court 3 nights Wembley Arena 3 nights G Mex 2 nights I can't be sure the U2 crew filmed the Oasis set during the Oakland gig thee maybe more 1 camera or 3 camera mix gigs but I will repost my thoughts on this later.
Believe it or not many arena gigs on the tour did not have screens up filming which is a shame most likely to save money.

More often that not, most shows that were not broadcast will be better than the broadcasted ones. If there were video screens showing the band members at all shows then I can guarantee you there is complete video of ALL those gigs somewhere. Also, the U2 support slots - does anyone know if they used the screen to show the band during their sets? It might of been too light outside for the massive POPMart screen to work.

I made a gif of the live performance of Acquiesce on the Time Flies dvd.
