Ok, let's rehash what this fucker most likely will have on it............................................ CD 1 - The Remastered Album CD 2 1. Stay Young 2. Angel Child 3. Heroes 4. Going Nowhere 5. I Got The Fever 6. My Sister Lover 7. The Fame 8. Flashbax 9. Street Fighting Man 10. Hester Skelter (I'll include this since it was recorded in 1997 but releases in 2000) * I'm shying away from non Be Here Now era material like Sad Song, Fade Away (War Child) and Cigarettes & Alcohol (G-Mex). It would be a cheap move to include those songs on an album from 1997. * Filling up this CD will prove difficult unless previous unknown songs emerge out of the blue. CD 3 - Mystique Session (12+ tracks) - Stand By Me (acoustic by pool) - Setting Sun/Fade In-Out (live acoustic version) - Help! (Acoustic version) I seriously doubt we'll get the entire Mustique tape. Judging by the DM & MG reissues you can replace 5 or so of those tracks with some completely random shit live recordings dripping in echo or where Liam forgets the words. Plus some obvious knebworth tracks. I most sincerely hope that you're wrong but I think you might be right. They had the chance to release things like the Live Forever and Lock All the Doors demos on the DM reissue, as well as more of the Monnow Valley recordings than just BIOD. And for MG there were things like the even faster Some Might Say and The Red, White, and Blue. If they just release 5 Mustique demos I will not purchase the reissue because it wouldn't be worth anyone's money, not even that of the most dedicated fans.

More songs I hope will be on the BHN reissue:
* Going Nowhere demo. Apparently this was recorded in Mark Coyle's bedroom in the same sessions as Hello, She's Electric, Rocking Chair, Married with Children, and D'Yer Wanna Be a Spaceman. * All Around the World from the Boardwalk rehearsals, or maybe even the MG sessions if it was recorded then. * Slow * That 10 minute piano song with Jarvis Cocker if it's different from Slow. * The Red, White, and Blue. According to some sources it evolved into IHITIK, but has that ever been confirmed?

It's literally the coolest part of this project potentially.

Like I said almost 2 years ago, Noel was never going to put songs like Comin On Strong (aka Setting Sun) or Lock All The Doors on a reissue. He needs to save deep deep deep cuts for the eventual anthology CD a decade into the future or more. Plus we didn't know it at the time, but Lock All The Doors was slated for Chasing Yesterday Completely eliminating it from DM consideration.

If we get the Mustique tape it will be Angel Child, Don't Go Away, D'You Know What I Mean? And Stand by Me, songs that you already heard with Noel on vocals. I'm sure some random gigs like Chicago or Manchester. I think MBM and IGBM live at Knebworth too

It would have been weird if Lock All the Doors was on the DM reissue and 9 months later he release it on Chasing Yesterday. I think that he completely forgot about that song and was selecting songs for the DM reissue and listened to it and then used it for his new album.

There'll definitely be a bunch of live tracks from random gigs as bonuses like on the previous reissues. Maybe not from Knebworth, but I wouldn't rule it out 100%.

On Twitter Brian Cannon recently said he hasn't worked on BHN since the 90s:
He also thinks Boney M are better than Oasis :-)

He got to the car park realised the missus had left the car door unlocked, and thought "FFS, she should always lock all the doors!"....at that moment a dim memory returned, and a light bulb illuminated above his head.....

To be honest I wasn't sure if he would or not. I also don't expect Brian Cannon to be truthful. I'm sure Noel and his management don't want the fucking photographer leaking news. Brian can just politely say he hasn't done anything. We see this happen all the time with bands and movies. They say one thing but then boom, another thing happens.

Like when James Cameron praised Terminator Genisys and called it the true sequel to T2 then it turned out to be the biggest pile of cheesey horseshit I've seen all year ;-) Thought had crossed my mind, especially as he asked who the questioner was first. But then Brian was supposed to work on CY too...

This is never coming out. It's DIV and AA all over again. Since he allegedly destroyed the AA work and the DIV sessions have never seen the light of day I have to wonder were they really that bad? Or is it just that for all his progressive talk he always was a firm musical Luddite and could never reconcile the attempts to move forward with his idea of how Oasis should sound? On the subject of BHN it's looking less likely as time goes on, and although a few people have mentioned it coming out with the Knebworth releases I can't see the connection. It looks to me like Noel is doing his usual historical revision whereby we celebrate the spectacular debut, the mega selling follow up and the live shows up until the record breaking Knebworth gigs before quietly dismissing everything that came after that period as 'not of the same standard', or words to that effect. I can think of a few artists who are dismissive of periods of their work, but none so determined as Noel to destroy evidence of or so vehemently attempt to rewrite history and his band's legacy to suit whatever agenda or viewpoint he is pursuing. Jimmy Page as an example is similarly protective over Led Zeppelin's legacy and some critics argued that he is entitled to ignore two or three LP's in their catalogue (Song Remains The Same, Presence, In Through The Out Door I have seen mentioned) yet has delivered deluxe, reissued and remastered versions of all of the catalogue. You could argue Page being Page money played a big part in that decision, and the vault cleaning had questionable artistic merit material wise, but at least fans had the choice of buying & listening to it or not, and making their own minds up as to it's worth. I know an artist is entitled to decide what is and what isn't worthy of release, be it a book, painting, recording or whatever, but the main gripe I have with Noel is if you don't want to issue it why bother announcing it in the first place? Also, stop trying to rewrite history, for better or worse you had three big selling albums in the 90's and some decent if flawed follow ups. As a different perspective try Warner Music Group's assessment of the band from 2009 for distributing the Oasis catalogue on behalf of Big Brother Recordings- Interestingly they claim SOTSOG outsold HC, as opposed to the oft claim that SOTSOG was the low seller- WMG PDF (WTSMG & DOYS are not given sections as the former had already sold as well as they hoped & this was intended to bump up other LP sales, and at the time DOYS was in the middle of it's own initial promotion push)

I'm fairly sure HC outsold SOTSOG. Only going on official record company quotes- It did outsell it in the UK but elsewhere it's harder to get accurate figures, so it's entirely possible it is the way WMG have said it is. For the record the British Phonographic Industry certified SOTSOG at double platinum for 600,000 plus, and Heathen Chemistry at triple platinum for 900,000 plus, which is UK sales figures only. EDIT- RIAA has USA sales of 201,000 for SOTSOG and 154,000 for HC, which makes me believe that SOTSOG probably was the bigger seller worldwide. They actually played more shows on the HC tour than the SOTSOG tour if memory serves, so the critical reaction may have reflected in sales regardless of live dates.

I hate to be a Debbie Downer but I told you so. Love that tune Given the threads on the board, maybe Howlin' Pelle Almqvist should have produced HC? Might have had some more life in the back to basics rock n' roll approach at any rate.

And he has mentioned re-releasing the later albums too - you can't reissue fecking SOTSOG & HC without reissuing BHN first! BUT the bonus disc could well be shite missing out gold like the previous reissues... AND it could take years to come out. We could all be deaf with arthritis by then. Keep the faith and keep bumping the thread, Beady’s Here Now loves it ;-)
